My kids are are doing better (straight As for 2 quarters in a row) in middle school than grade school.

Not to me, but my DD has been accepted at several PhD programs and I’m so thrilled for her.

Still some bumps in the road but life is much better now than one year ago for various reasons. I hope not to jinx it with this post…

I learned how to knit and can’t believe how much fun it is. I’m only doing simple projects but I am hopeful to donate knitted hats for the homeless next year. ( I’m slow so won’t have a stock to donate this year)

I saw a bald eagle yesterday.
I felt like that Budweiser Super Bowl commercial was my deceased brother giving me a sign that he's still around and seeing what's going on in my life which is difficult right now. I can't explain the feeling I got when I saw it, but I was moved to tears, then felt stupid like why am I feeling like this? Then, the next day, I was just driving to get lunch and saw the bald eagle (which is not a normal occurrence for me), and then I really started to cry. I miss him so much.

My teenager took charge of my hair and I've been getting compliments.

My abuser killing himself was quite good. I still have nightmares, but it would be a lot worse if they were alive.
Everything else is fine and has always been.
I just thought about the good and the bad things that have happened. Everything bad has happened because of bad people. Everything good has been natural way of life or the base.
