I’ve become financially independent and the freedom & autonomy that comes with it is amazing!

I didn’t have plans to, but I was able to meet the Buddhist monks at the national cathedral. I got parking nearby, and a great spot to see them! The sun was shining, and I enjoyed the peaceful meditation. The world has been a scary and dark place, so this was a nice break.

After a terrible week, my bar for "good" is pretty low. Today I:

Worked out with my wonderful trainer
Got my car washed
Made delicious meatballs
Had a nice dinner with my DH and young adult DS
Thoroughly cleaned my kitchen

Very grateful for the long weekend.

DH made me feel special today. Flowers and a card. Made me homemade donuts, and chili with his homemade sauce. We went on a walk too. He said hes going to paint my toenails as well!

I went to a 15-person dinner party last night. It had been ages since I went to one, it was so much fun, and the food was delicious. It has inspired me to throw one in the spring.

Even better I have removed all of their toxicity out of my life too.
