dating and broke

I am 44F and financially broke with significant payments towards my bills every month. How important is my financial security for dating and being in an LTR with someone who is financial secure? For the context, I am overweight with BMI of 33-34 but look good when I dress up and put make up on. I know I can date and it is easier to do but sometimes dating also needs money if you have to buy dinners now and then.

I do not think you should let being broke stand in the way of dating. Just be up front about your situation if you're planning to be in a place where splitting the bill might be expected.. Most guys will offer to pay while bill.

OP did not ask for diet advice. It amazes me how many people around here want to tell people to eat less. Do you think that people who are overweight don’t know that?

Facts. Potato chips cost $5-7 a bag now. The only people _______ enough to pay that amount for a bag of chips are people on welfare who don’t know the value of money. I lost weight because I had to cut down on chips because I can’t afford them

What does a 225lb woman order on a date though? Not to make her self conscious but I’ve seen some crazy things in tick tock like women ordering meals to go for all of their kids

Men will pay for a few dates if there is a chance of getting sex but a decent man would not date a broke woman at this stage of his life for LTR. No one wants to be responsible for paying someone else's stuff and if she is broke then there can't be any trips, going out to events or anything like this. Also, men would only pay if they also know you are capable of paying on your own otherwise they would lose respect for you and that is not good for dating/LTR.

May here and I concur. You don't have to be that in shape. Carry yourself well. and dress well. Being nice, not a pushover is most important.
