Well now I really need to know what happened

SC saw MN's calf implants and just got called off waitlist for surgery. Its very popular procedure and your legs look flush after; and with 3 inches of lift so he had to forfeit with no coach available

he might yell at your DD, but he makes them better players. Granted a few girls have left because of him but clearly other parents value his coaching . BSC clearly loves him if he continues to coach young girls and can build winning teams . So clearly Bethesda isn’t on its way down.

Coaching boys is different than coaching girls. They must be treated differently. This is a fact. Anyone who tells you different is lying or doesn't know what they are talking about.

Go ahead parents. Send your tween or teen to a coach who yells, screams and berates them constantly. Be prepared to deal with mental health problems, body image/anorexia/bulimia issues, and heaven forbid them taking their own lives at some point.

Ok straight talk.
If your daughter is this emotionally and mentally fragile she never could have played top level soccer. Better to learn it now and get out!! She never could have had the fortitude to make it. She may not even be able to handle to regular stressors of life. So sorry your daughter became suicidal or bulimic from this coach which is what you’re awkwardly implying. Hope she gets better. It’s too much for some!

DP. You sound toxic. And ignorant. You really think that girls should learn to tolerate abuse? GTFO. I remember a coach who routinely yelled at my team as a HS senior (school coach) and it was scary and demoralizing at that age. And I’m now a very capable adult who can handle conflict productively. Yelling at children is a sign of a weak and incompetent adult. And parents like you who condone it are even worse. You’re pathetic.

He/she never said that yelling was needed but also stop making excuses for these kids for EVERYTHING!! The kids have to take accountability and put work in as well. Not everything can be handed to them. You were 17-18 years old and a coach yelling at you demoralized you? scared you? Give me a break... You're probably the parent that emails the school to make sure your child gets "the best" teachers and "a classroom enviroment that's welcoming to all learning styles" like there are teachers out there who don't want to provide that to the kids.

if a player switches teams, they can't play against their old team.

In the same season and even if released? Coaches would know this rule, no?

You'd think the coach should know that wouldn't you?

Kids can be held accountable and be required to work for things without being yelled at by an adult. Your home must be a joy for your spouse and kids to live in, provided, you aren't divorced already.

Question about boys tryouts last month -- did they waitlist everyone who did not receive an offer, or were some boys actually told that there was no spot for them?

See your problem is that you didn’t read what I wrote. I never said that anyone needed to yell, but if someone does… it’s not the end of the world.
And unlike you my home is probably a safer space for my spouse and my 3 kids. But at least my kid won’t grow up identifying as a goat like yours might because you’re such a cool parent and your kids are angels who do no wrong.

See, your problem is you are a fake tough guy and a clown.

Don't presume to know what your kids will grow up like. There's no way they share everything with someone like you. I feel bad for them. If they do have gender or sexual identity issues, the way you just said what you did, it's clear you will be disappointed and not love and accept them for who they are inside.

See it’s hard to be a “fake hard tough guy” when I’m a mother and wife. Move along. Thank you Dr. Phil

Hmmm… results? Four YNT players and they can’t beat hex? Shaun is obsessed with a few players on the team that he plays over everyone else always, and they really aren’t all that. And the abuse is unexcusable. He says it’s to get them ready for college soccer, well good college soccer coaches don’t call kids worthless and pathetic.

Let’s not forget about those parents who were insulting the FC Delco players. Ironically, those are parents of some of the favorites mentioned. The 08 team is overrated now and the players are starting to point fingers at each other.

I'm now wondering why we tolerated such disorganization and chaos for years. We all know the draw is the platforms of BSC and the college recruiting potential, but at what cost? There are no planning meetings, no evaluations of players, zero accountability, favoritism and nepotism, and the practice schedule...where to start there? It's a pure mess. Don't be fascinated by the so-called almighty Bethesda. You can get a better experience elsewhere and be treated like a human.

Don’t worry. Not many people are fascinated by Bethesda. These days it’s very much like McLean on the Virginia side.

All that promotion that FVU does about having 300 plus players in college is from MCLEAN. It's not from FVU, nor is from any other club with the exception of maybe BRYC back in the day.
