Maybe 2 of them were impact players

Correct.. the Goalie and the Pole.

Goalie - Penn State
Pole - SU
Middie - Bucknell

That is about it.

Top 5:

1. Bullis - best senior class in the area. They will need to stay healthy as depth will be an issue
2. Landon - solid across the board. extremely well coached
3. SJC - Cadets will go as far as their 2026 can carry them. Well coached too!
4. Prep - defensive heavy with some offensive stars layered in. Always athletic
5. PVI - bring back majority of their roster from last season

Long-time observer of area HS lacrosse and played in the college ranks. The assessment above is pretty accurate.

Bullis brings back Mahar who can take over a game on the offensive side of the field, Bullis also returns a talented fogo. Look for Bullis to be able to score in runs if their FOGO gets hot. Bulldogs bring back most of their offensive starters from last season so they should have more chemistry.

Landon, while they are very well coached and always have the horses in between the lines, their offense will be a shell of what it was last year with Pannetti now gone. They return both of their fogos who were good last season but to my knowledge, they have no one on their roster who has the offensive talents of a few of the 24s who just graduated.

SJC will be very interesting. Draley was a beast last season as he carried the Cadets in several games when offensive production was lacking (WCAC championship game) Cadets return their attack (added in a senior transfer to bolster the lineup) and Offut in the midfield but none of them are even close to the caliber of player Draley is or when Duenkel was healthy.

Prep will be in a re-building mode this season as the Hoyas graduated a talented 2024 class.

St. Johns will look much different on offense due to actually having an offensive coordinator.

no shit SJC has an offensive coordinator (just like the previous years)... still doesn't address the fact that the Cadets don't have a go-to offensive man like they have had during the last 3+ seasons.

I agree that St. John’s does not have the same caliber player as the Virginia attackman or Maryland midfielder. If they are going to compete with Transfer U, PVI or Gonzaga, the defense will need to hold teams to single numbers.
The idea that a former college coach will solve their lack of production on the offensive end is flawed. Look at the other programs in the area whose head coaches came from the college level.

I agree with this post. They also have to get to 10 goals to win. Only was held under 10 twice in Conference last year and needed OT both games to win.

They also need the 2026 class to play up to the hype, not just the pole and goalie.

We will see!

not sure I really follow your comment about "Transfer U" at Gonzaga!

95% of their team has been in seat since freshman year!
