Dean J will post about it before any official email. Watch the blog and her Instagram. If they are releasing Friday, she will likely post tomorrow or Wednesday.

💯yes. It always comes out around this time on a Friday. She’ll probably update about it on Thursday, it’s usually just the day before she gets numbers and updates.

Good luck, but be fully prepared for a rejection or waitlist. Many, many highly qualified students don’t get in to UVA for one reason or another that is no reflection on their intelligence or ability. My DD thought UVA was where she wanted, but she was waitlisted and offered the UVA Year In Wise option. She declined and is now very happy at another school and realizes that it’s a better fit for her than UVA would have been. In short - don’t stress. It will work out the way it’s meant to.

She has no way of knowing that.

She has friends at UVA who say that getting into clubs and extracurriculars is highly competitive. The campus is filled with Tracy Flicks who were all top of their class in high school and who expect to be #1. That’s great if you thrive in that environment, but my DD would not. She has joined lots of clubs and made friends at her school. She knows deep down that UVA would have been more difficult socially, for her personally. UVA is a great school, but not for everyone.
