Admitted
white male
public school
full pay
GPA 4.1 weighted. This is at a school where GPAs don't get super duper high because there is no added weight for honors, and the school does not have as many APs as some other others do. Grades were mostly As with a few Bs and there was an upward trajectory.
Took the highest rigor classes
School doesn't rank
NMSF
36 ACT
Very involved with great leadership in school level extracurriculars
Had a nice essay
Didn't seem recs but I expect they were strong. DC is the kind of kid who teachers love and he's just a very nice kid who is always pitching in, taking the lead in group projects and helps other kids out.

Admitted. Public HS male
3.95 UW GPA, 12 APs and dual enrollment

Lots of STEM but also took challenging humanities classes

1510

More of a typical well rounded kid (no spike or skill that fills a specific need)

Lots and lots of school leadership and community involvement. Won some leadership awards through the school faculty and community.

Had some generic service industry summer and part jobs during HS

He developed some very strong relationships with a few teachers over multiple years, so suspect recommendations were a big lift for him.
