USC/ND Rivalry might end with last night's ND victory in South Bend. First game was in 1926. It would be sad to see it end, but I think USC is frustrated with all their loses, they don't like the travel or the midwest weather.
I guess they might continue it if all the games were played in LA. Either way, I hope it continues. The fans love it...well maybe not the USC fans anymore lol. ND leads the series 51-37-5 |
| If USC didn't like travel or Midwest weather, they wouldn't have joined the B1G. |
| I wouldn't keep traveling to lose. Sounds insane. How is that a rivalry? |
They didn't have any other lucrative options, so there's that. |
| USC and ND have been making the trip for a 100 years. The travel is not the issue. But for some reason, colleges in California aren't keeping up with changes in football. USC, Cal, Stanford, and UCLA all seem to fading fast in the new era. And looking at their empty stadiums, they seem to have lost a lot of fans in recent years. Not sure how to fix it except through better coaching and recruiting. |
| One of the greatest rivalries in college football. Go Irish.🇮🇪 |
| Those two programs haven't been consistently at top for years. Notre Dame needs to join a conference or they will be on the outside looking in. |
Um, who was i the National Championship last year? Oh right, ND. |
| ND lost to Ohio State in title game last year! |
| USC song girls sure do brighten up an overcast fall midwestern Saturday... |
| I hope it ends unless there is a change. ND needs to fully join a conference. They can join the B1G and have that game protected every year. If not, adios. |
Thanks to their independent status. In a real conference their record would probably take a hit. |
I don't think ND will ever join a conference. |
They will fill them up more with Midwest fans traveling to the west coast or local alums who live out there already. |
They will have no choice if they start to get left out of the playoffs. |
