I'm struggling with the logic of the speakers who assert that DCPS / DPR should take the funds they've been given to them by Maret and use them to renovate the un-used Ellington. Surely if Ellington were suitable and the funds they've given to DPR sufficient, they could give up Jelleff and move on to Ellington, no? They could do the same at Kenilworth Gardens or any manner of fields in NE/SE that are under-utilized.

Love the "misinformation" argument, propping up their opponents as being unreasonable, without offering any piece of evidence about the topic of the contract.

He completely mischaracterizes those comparisons. We could fact-check him, but he got the thread deleted so we can't.

Ellington isn't large enough for a high school regulation field but does work for middle school sports who according to Hardy website practice for an hour a few days a week.

These people testifying for Maret are not doing themselves any favors.

Never in the history of the world has a group of people who have done so much for humanity been so persecuted than the Maret community. And NW DC has a dire shortage of baseball fields.

Should really convert some of those baseball fields to multi-use. Too many in NW
