ARe people really saying this whole display is justified because of what 5 BHI people said? These kids should never have been left unsupervised for a moment.

I think it’s adorable how many people are saying their teenage sons would stand by idly and be called vile names and not react in any way like the gentlemen they were raised to be. I highly doubt any of you actually have teenage sons. Be real.

I thought Catholic schools were supposed to instill different values in their students than other school, that their students were different and above the norm? Otherwise why spend the money t send them?

Everybody in the Catholic school community know sending your son to an all boys school like Covington... (aka Gonzaga/Prep) you are going to have to deal with this toxic type of behavior.

Many of us will not send our kids to all boys schools for this exact reason.

Seems to me they need to learn that they will deal with a toxic hatred of the students by other people.
At least, that is the impression I am getting on this site.

Yes. They will be met with hatred sometimes when they cat call an innocent woman walking down the street or when they hold a girld down on a bed and assaulting her or when they black face.

How do you think those actions should be met?

Interesting that the video linked here was cut where it was. Another inflammatory video that will probably go viral in order to defame the school, no doubt.
Questions. I have: What happened before the girls passed the boys? Did the girls say something to them first?

I am tired of women acting like they are always the victim. And, I am a woman.

Wow! That is a stretch. I'll pray for you.

But this is SO exciting! As A Woman is BACK!

Your parents failed at parenting then

DP. Nope. My parents raised me to be a decent human being.

Nope. You seem to be quite prejudiced and hateful.

No bud, I was not the one harassing an elderly man and girls in DC the other day. Have several seats.

Others schools might be closed because of the weather.

Covington is closed because they're worried about some crazed liberal trying to murder their students.

It's usually wacked out conservative "second amendment friends" who are the threats. Are they afraid of hummos attacks by the liberal mobs?

Don't worry about parental responsibility.

His actions and legislation just don't indicate racism.

And, those who show hatred toward those who wear MAGA hats are bigots.

People who wear MAGA hats are loudly proclaiming themselves to be Trump supporters. Trump is a racist. His policies and public statements prove it. If you wear a MAGA hat, like it or not, you are publicly indicating you support a racist and his racist policies. Be prepared that people will call you on it.

Trump is also anti-environment and anti-science. If you wear a MAGA hat, like it or not, you are publicly indicating that you support harming the environment consequences be damned. Be prepared that people will call you on it.

Trump is sexist and treats women deplorably. If you wear a MAGA hat, like it or not, you are publicly indicating that you look the other way when he or others exhibit this behavior as long as he does other things that you want. Be prepared that people will call you on it.

Trump cares only about putting more money into the pockets of rich people and nothing for average or poor Americans. This is not debatable, it is clear from his policy stances. If you wear a MAGA hat, you are publicly indicating your support for this man whose policies will ultimately harm our economy and most Americans. Be prepared that people will call you on it.

If you wear a MAGA hat, you are proclaiming that you support this completely self-absorbed, unstable, evil man. So, yes, people with decency and common sense are going to take issue with you.

This is more than just policy disagreements. People who still support Trump are dangerous. This is not hyperbole.

Wow. So they add "the born and the unborn" after, "with liberty and justice for all." That's real privilege right there.

Imagine a Catholic School advocating for the sanctity of life! Will wonders ever cease?

Yup.
White? Check.

No, the reason they are getting targeted is that they were acting like utter assholes. Can any parent here honestly say they'd want their kid acting like that? I hope not.

So much for turning the other cheek. Out there pretending to be such great Christians and missing the message entirely.

Anybody knows that if someone shouts mean things at you, you IGNORE them. You don't engage.

There are many sides to this story but none of them absolve the boys for their own bad behavior.

So sick of people trying to justify bad behavior.

You keep calling everyone a bigot in here. Apparently that's the breadth of your argument. Maybe educate yourself on what that entails first.

It's doesn't work that way. It's called standing up for truth, justice, equality. But I understand that you have to do the whole conservative martyr thing in your head so you can live with yourself. We see through your conservative-media twisting of the facts.

Weird. I supported Trump because I thought Hillary and her policies were dangerous. I continue to support him because he is the GEOTUS.

Good lord. I am a Catholic and I am disturbed by how the community learns NOTHING from incidents like these. There is no justification for those boys behaving that way. We are watching the time honored tradition of schools like this twisting the narrative to convince themselves that these are good boys who acted honorably in the face of adversity. B*llsh*t!

Jesus said turn the other cheek. So what if anyone hurled insults at them. If they really were Christians who took the message of Jesus to heart, they would ignore hateful insults and pray for their enemies.

Christians in name only. Fighting to protect their schools reputation and not caring about anything else.
