Why is the prosecution asking for this delay for the defense? Shouldn't the defense be asking for the delay, since they are the ones who need it to acquire the clearance necessary to review the classified documents?

Anyone else amused at the Olympic level projection, with the staffer accusing Hillary Clinton of always printing these documents out as they are shuffling through the top secret documents that they have printed out (and stolen and massively mishandled).

Because the prosecution has to hand over documents and they (the DoJ) are also the ones responsible for getting defense counsel cleared. Would you prefer the judge keep to the schedule and then the case get tossed when the prosecution can't give the defense files that it is constitutionally required to provide?

The leaker is unimportant. Unless he’s going to claim it’s a fake tape, it’s evidence of his willful retention of classified documents. How he escapes conviction is beyond me. Seems like they are trying to muddy the waters on this by having everyone focus on leaks and the substance of the conversation.
