Trump will undoubtedly get several continuances, whether because of inability to retain counsel or other matters, but eventually the counsel issue won't be allowed to be an excuse. The judge will appoint someone. But she might allow a lot of delay. Remains to be seen if she allows a lot of delay in deference to Trump specifically.
