Time was when POTUS and VPOTUS made it a point to vacation in the USA and contribute to the home economy.

What is this? I thought Vance hated Europe and its social democracies. Why vacation there? Such hypocrisy.

He did this in Paris ahead of his meetings in Germany at the Munich security conference. Took over an entire floor of a 5 star hotel in Paris. Had them create a private custom play room for his kids. USG paid for his family’s luxury vacation.

This is their contribution to the US tourism economy. By leaving the country, they are making it more likely that foreigners want to come here

You realize that Obama spent $50,000 of taxpayer money PER WEEK (2009-2011) on his Martha's Vineyard home rentals + staff, SS, right? Not to mention, many other high-end vacations for himself and family. Did you begrudge those too? How about all of Biden's vacations with multiple grandkids and Jill's back and forth trips to Paris and Wilmington? Funny how it's just this one man who triggers you, but not at all surprising.

No matter what Trump and Vance do, people whose minds have turned to putrid mush due to incessant hate for not getting their way, will find something negative.

Vance could discover a cure for cancer and heal millions but what would Democrats do? They would claim only certain people were being cured of cancer so somewhere there must be racism or inequality.
