I could see Speaks moving on from Military Road in the next year or two, the 2026 class is pretty talented.

I predict less than 3 players transfer. It's just not a thing once a kid is in a school unless it's for financial or geographical reasons.

Already registered for next year. Nice try.

No one is transferring or more than 3 are transferring?

Wrong. There are a few that have not.

They will lose at least 3 more before GZ.

DM or SJC?

If a kid transfers from high school just because they lost a few games, I can already predict what they’ll do in college—lose a few games, ride the bench, and hit the transfer portal.

Parents aren't happy that their kids are getting yelled. Little Johnny wants to have fun.

Probably why St. John’s is struggling. Too many all about me kids and families. Speaks won’t miss you.

GZ is the frontrunner

Yup. None of us will miss them.

That type of parity and any given day is awesome for the game. Awesome for the area. These kids are getting tested in more high pressure games, makes for better players better teams.

I agree. Great spring for area lax.

Agree it's competitive, but I don't think that also means high/elite level. I have seen all of the teams listed above live and they all have serious warts. No truly great teams this year, as the area has had in other years. That is ok, just keeps things in perspective historically. And I do think the talent has thinned out a bit over the last 10 years as well, and I am not sure why that is.

GZ dad here, best local teams they've played this year IMO have been Prep and Bullis, in that order.

Out of conference, McDonogh is really good. Culver obviously is great but IMO they're more like a Salisbury/Lawrenceville/Loomis type team now with post-grads so a different weight class.

I've seen plenty of good/bad/average with our own team and also every team we've played against. Even Ireton last week was frisky. Talent is diluted throughout the area so lots of parity. Last night GZ had a seven goal lead on PVI and PVI closed within three in the fourth quarter. Seems like anyone can beat anyone this season so teams like GC, Dematha, GC and even The Heights have got to think they can make some noise in the WCAC. If you qualify for the tournament you def have a shot.

SJC is losing bc they are scoring 9 a game (throwing out BOC) and are less than 50% at FO possession. Compare that to Bullis scoring 11.5 pg (throwing out 2 blowouts) and winning 65% on possession. Speaks may want to consider some alternatives including running a different fo out once in a while and playing more than one of those heralded 27's.

sorry my bad, left out PVI and even Ryken looks like they can make some noise this year too. The only WCAC teams I'm confident won't make the conference playoffs are O'Connell, McNamara, and Ireton. Never seen a season like this one in the WCAC.

If he was smart he would make a change at attack. They lost the MD commit to injury so the offense will struggle more without him.
