If your kid doesn't play at SJC why do you care so much about what Speaks does or doesn't do?

My kid does play there. Parents can criticize their own team.

1. Landon - the Bears are playing at a very high level, scoring across the board, but competition since the Florida trip has been sparse. Don't take Severna Park lightly. The schedule picks up the following week.

2. Bullis - While the Bulldogs are on a 4-game winning streak, Episcopal gave them all they could handle for 3 quarters last week. Interesting matchup against Urbana this week.

3. DeMatha - don't be fooled by the Stags loss to LaSalle last week - LaSalle is a very good program. Senior laden Stags will be looking to prove themselves come Tuesday vs the Cadets.

4. St Johns - Cadets can make a statement this week with league games against traditional WCAC powers, DeMatha and PVI. Both games at home.

5. Georgetown Prep - Lil Hoyas are on a two-game winning streak. Monster non-league showdown against Good Counsel on Wednesday followed up with a tough matchup against league foe Episcopal.

6. Gonzaga - a brutal stretch of games for the Purple Eagles begins this week. PVI, The Heights and then Landon the following week.

7. Good Counsel - the Falcons made a statement on Friday night with win over PVI. How they do against Prep this week will tell us just far this program has come under Dane Smit.

8. Episcopal - played Bullis very tight, but depth is a factor for the Maroon. Tough stretch this week with Christchurch and Georgetown Prep on deck.

9. The Heights - we will find out on Friday if the Cavs are contenders when they host Gonzaga.

10. Ryken - expect the Knights to cruise to victory this week with games against Saint Andrews, Bishop McNamara, and O'Connell.

Neutral

This guy knows his stuff... The only poster that had DeMatha ranked above SJC this week.

Big WCAC vs IAC game tonight in Olney as Good Counsel squares off with Georgetown Prep.

I could see Speaks moving on from Military Road in the next year or two, the 2026 class is pretty talented.

I predict less than 3 players transfer. It's just not a thing once a kid is in a school unless it's for financial or geographical reasons.

So we have a rat. Go talk to Speaks about it instead of complaining here. Or better yet take your kid and leave.

Typical. Can't criticize if you aren't part of it, told to leave if you criticize. You are obviously a student. Any parent knows they've been told not to interfere or your kid will be punished. You are correct in one thing, the only remedy is to leave a school bc a coach will never admit they've made mistakes and can make a change. I'll make a dcum guess and say you are the 3-15 fogo.

Agreed. It took some moxie to pick the Stags on the road. GP vs GC will continue to scramble the rankings based on the result. Is the WCAC much weaker or is the IAC a 2 team league?

You must be the backup to the 3-15 fogo. Keep working hard.

Anonymous wrote:SJC players were loudly and classlessly chirping at DM and talking trash in warm ups and throughout the game (well beyond normal teenage banter). Their junior SSDM headhunter who leads the conference in cross checks to the face was benched in the first half (not for his dirty play; they apparently reward him for that at SJC), after getting repeatedly beat, and that was when SJC was up by 3. SJC can say it is because OC wasn’t there; but maybe it’s because karma was. Their attitude was crazy arrogant. The face off disparity (15 to 3) and the second half / OT goaltending (5 goals to 1) were the difference. Today SJC was severely outclassed at those two positions. A tough hard fought very equal game where the officiating was absent (almost no penalties) came down to those two spots on the field and today that led to a DM victory. For how much that one SJC dad keeps posting “rent free,” they were class free on the field.

Love to see karma do it's thing.

DeMatha lost by 1 last year and won by 1 this year. Good for the Stags, but it's not like they beat a top 25 team. SJC doesn't have another tough game until GZ and will be ready for playoff rematch.

They will lose at least 3 more before GZ.

its funny that the SJC boosters were touting that Bullis and Landon were ducking Military Road this year.

Prob a good thing Landon or Bullis didn't play your Cadets this Spring as it would have been a complete beatdown.

Already registered for next year. Nice try.
