Who do you think is going to win and why?

Why do people write stuff like this? There are plenty of intelligent arguments to make against Trump but “flaming pile of orange dog poo” sounds juvenile.

Go tone police the right wing for a change of pace, “- Harris voter.” You’re all up and around telling Democrats how you think we’re doing stuff wrong, and frankly, “flaming pile of orange dog poo” sounds about as mature as the GOP. I’m sorry that you think that someone who approved “anyone want to go halvsies on a slave?” should be given more respect though.

Harris made the case to voters last night with optimism and with the gravity presented to the country by Maga. Trump has destroyed his support across the country; he’s polling nowhere near where he did in 2020 and I think pollsters are still padding him to account for what happened in 2016.

LOL. Polls are always wrong when you don't like the results.

I guess that I struck a nerve. “Sounds about as mature as the GOP” is right. We should aim higher.

Polls are wrong when they're wrong.

You aim higher. And I guess you are the Republican, ‘scuse me, “moderate dem” who I thought you were.

I think Harris is going to win. I think she and all her surrogates have chosen higher and brighter than Trump and all his minions. She never assaulted someone in Arlington, nor did she use it as a campaign prop. She didn’t call immigrants vermin, she doesn’t insult the United States as the world’s garbage can. She isn’t ranting and raving about slaughtering Republicans like Trump is about Democrats. She is, in all respects, better.

I change my mind every day. Yesterday I got a strong feeling that Harris is going to win. I think she is being underestimated. I have never been polled once in my life. I was a secret Trump voter twice and now I am a secret Harris voter.

Anonymous wrote:Trump is going to win, and it will not be as close as the polls are indicating. The reason: Trump is much stronger on the economy, immigration, and national security. These are core issues that resonate with all Americans. Surprisingly, he is even more relatable - as evidenced by his recent trips to a Bronx barbershop and the PA McDonald’s. This explains why he is making inroads with unions and minority men. We are now in the home stretch and other than abortion, not being Trump, and being pretty good at accents, it is not clear what Kamala stands for.

Ironic that actual McDonald’s workers were insulted by it—they didn’t think it made him relatable. Don’t you care about that? Did you listen to them?

The Trump camp seems to be mired in mass delusion of the sort not seen since Romney lost so badly.

The wilder the posts here about Harris the most desperate I figure the Trumpies are, although I concede that is not a real measure

I just heard about the Puerto Rico thing tonight. It does not seem like a real story to me. There are precisely zero voters in this country who were leaning towards Trump but changed their minds upon getting some CNN anchor express concern about some bit performed by a comedian they've never heard of.

More generally, news coverage of the rally has felt like editorial content.

This Puerto Rican can tell you that you are completely wrong if you think those comments won’t change anything. I have friends in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Florida sharing the video on their social media.

The rally was designed to energize the young men who are passing around memes like the one below. It remains to be seen whether energizing possible Harris voters will be worth the cost for Trump.

Personally I think Harris will win because targeting young men is a riskier GOTV strategy as young men traditionally don’t vote. But it is going to be close.

If the link doesn’t work, it shows a military platoon running in a jungle towards a city from a video game. The caption is “me and the boys in Taiwan next year because Taylor Swift convinced a bunch of women to vote Kamala.”

This is who Trump is trying to reach (and dispassionately, doing a good job of it). I just don’t think it’s enough to outweigh the Democratic GOTV in swing states.

So you worded questions says it all. People tired of the tirades by liberals. Trump will win and the Democratic party will run next time with a middle ticket of Josh Shapiro and Amy Klobachar and they will win.

My hot take is I don't know, but Kamala is winning the DMV hands down based on this forum.

Landslide for Trump. Never have Republicans voted early and actually turned out. Wild.
