Do we just keep the same Subject to this thread when Overton is fired?

That FCPS backing him on all appeals, he will get promoted before fired. He also will just likely resign and go somewhere outside VA. From his interviews, he wants to coach college level and no state championship and scandal won’t help. He’ll leave while he can still say he was cleared by FCPS and rest is other people problems.

The he should be an assistant at the college level. Head coaches at the college level are promoted coordinators. Coordinators are promoted position coaches and positions coaches are quality assurance assistants or video assistants

He wasn't qualified for the job they gave him
At Hayfield. No way are they promoting this clown. He will quit.

So will Hayfield’s team next season (fall of 2025) have any of these same players/coaches? Or do you think everyone associated this year will quit and it will be an almost completely new team next fall (similar to Freedom this year?)

Prediction: They will all pick up and go to a private school. Of course, a bunch of the stars like Clown's nephew
are seniors.

Hayfield will struggle next year since none of their Varsity next year will have played this year.

He’d have to get the job first. He’s been trying to get to spot where someone would entertain him as a coach at any level on a college team.

FCPS can hope he quits, but otherwise my $ on they will promote him. Don’t agree that they should, but they will move him from school to Gatehouse that will get him out of Hayfield but for him will be more $ or do years severance or such.

Why would strong players stick around when there is already a ban on post-season play in 2025 as well?

Total fiasco.

If the coaches are still there then the players will likely still be there. Huge if of course.

He wasn't qualified to be a school security officer. He doesn't have a college degree.

He's too old. You start as an intern. The exception is former players coming back after their careers are over

That entire program is damaged goods. They should have stuck with Aziz.

I don't know if that's a viable option unless they end up at a spot like Riverdale Baptist. Specifically, the WCAC kids that came in didn't leave their former schools on their own terms.

This is such a huge punishment from VHSL. How can FCPS justify keeping a coach with this level of FAIL around? Literally, he was found guilty of cheating. How could he possibly be a role model?

Yeah, we knew those white supremacists where going to deny.

Note you never say "we didn't do it", just that "everyone else is cheating too!"

It’s not pathetic because it isn’t happening to the white coaches. This is racist racist racist racist racist.

You keep accusing other coaches of cheating but never have any receipts. No other coach recruited 24 players and destroyed two programs in 1 season.

What do you consider reciepts? Things have been said, just like things have been said about Hayfield.

Do you think there are receipts concerning the Hayfield allegations?

You are a loon.

Transfer him to TJ, let's see how good he really is.

The parents could all say Hayfield has better academics than Freedom. Combined with the better football program is the reason they moved into the Hayfield zone.

I’m quite sure they weren’t asked if the football team was the sole reason they moved and to just assume that because of what some parents said during a conversation about the football team isn’t fair.

You can not be serious. You think that kind of lying would fly in an investigation?

What Overton did and what FCPS allowed is what isn't fair. What isn't fair is recruiting and stacking a team and devastating another team. What isn't fair is fundraising for a team outside of the normal process and hiding that info. What isn't fair is using public school property for your personal business. What isn't fair is that the band/cheer kids who didn't get a senior night because some pathetic parents and school administrators think football is more important than anything else.

The amount of poor judgement by so many adults in this mess is astounding. I will say again and again, people need to be fired.

Whoever retaliated against the school employee who spoke up about the transfers needs to be fired. I want that person's name plastered all over social media. They have such poor judgement they should not be working in a school system.

It was an unwarranted finding.
