DEI order and mcps

Given this new 10 day deadline, how do people think this will play out in mcps?

Ignored or lip service “change” as it should be. No one should abide by anything this administration says

If they do anything other than ignore, there will be massive walk outs and other forms of protest.

I'm 50/50 on whether MCPS ignores this or cowardly complies. Both are completely possible with this BOE.

This is excellent. MCPS should get rid of its DEI programs. Removing the lottery for magnet programs would be a wonderful start.

OMG, I thought I had written this! The lottery should be removed so that 99 percentile kids can attend the program.

Do we have that many seats for magnet schools in MS or HS for all high achiever kids? 99 percentile seems really high to be the minimum qualification.

And isn’t MCPS already cash strapped and crying about the budget? I hope they don’t put more funds at risk.

I know my kid is 99 percentile in 3rd grade and didn't get into the CES program because of lotter.....
