They are guaranteeing practice space on Fairfax County Fields? I don't think *anyone* can do that right now, field permits aren't generally issued until mid-Summer for the Fall and even those with historical use can't make that promise until they get their permits. |
| All the Fairfax County turf weeknight space in that area is used by Herndon and GFR and Vienna. The County isn't going to take space away from those orgs with large rec leagues to give to a FOR PROFIT. For profit orgs are so far down the priority list that they never get space except for odd hours/days like Sunday at 8 am. |
Especially a FOR PROFIT that is apparently mostly affiliated with LOUDOUN COUNTY lol |
There's no TM or RP on the board or the staff: https://rb-fc.com/club/boardofdirectors |
TM = Team Manager - Valencia was a TM at GFR, RP = Rado Pletka, GFR's disgrunted former TD who is associated with Loudoun East and now is trying to work with RBFC to build that club. |
| why are people still disgruntled with gfr? the entire former board of directors and executive director have changed in the last year. isn't that what everyone wanted? |
| Any update on the turnout at yesterdays tryouts? |
Nice try at IP address data collection RbFC. |
My theory (based on absolutely nothing but speculation) is that RBFC helped pay for the new turf fields at Barron Cameron, so they will get the space there. |
Yeah, sorry no way. They wouldn't have the money for that, and it would have been allocated/earmarked long ago. |
| The least popular fields in that area are the Barron Cameron grass fields, so my guess is that's what they will get permits for. I'm not familiar with the Great Falls area, maybe there are crappy county grass fields out there as well. |
I think that's where they had tryouts. |

What the RBFC dude did not realize is that no matter how much cash you have, you cannot buy access to Fairfax county turf fields. That's why they are renting private fields for their NCSL games this spring--literally the only club I have ever seen have to do this. Even AC Milan was able to scrounge up some turf from the county.
Very interesting to me that Loudoun wouldn't let them use any of their fields, even for a few hours. |
Not surprising - the target audience is in FFX county plus Loudoun already has an Aspire program. |
Right but they playing under NVA which is part of Loudoun. |
