Not hyperbole, would you really leave and move to another country? What would be the final draw for you?
|
If I had an exit ramp I would have been gone long ago. Alas, I have to stay and fight. I hope we can get it over with before my kids are of an age to be drafted. |
I would if I could. I don’t have the financial wherewithal. All my accounts are American. You can’t have offshore accounts as emergency backups like our parents and grandparents |
If I could leave the country I would. I love watching travel show, Italy, Holland and the Provence region in France look wonderful. However I do not have a skill that Europeans don’t so getting a visa to work is pretty much not gonna happen.
|
Of course, but I don’t have the money to do so. |
+1 I don't have another passport or a route to a permanent visa somewhere else. |
Sure you can. Why do you think not? |
Too old to make such a change, but I'm advising my daughter to start looking for jobs overseas when she graduates. |
Yes. Final straw would be when there is no longer freedom of the press. Until then as long as I’m not personally targeted I will stay and do what I can to fight back.
We don’t have foreign passports but have family in Europe who could help. |
If I had an empty nest I would absolutely be going. |
I’ve thought about leaving. Not because of Trump/Musk, but because liberals are destroying this country. Trump and Musk have actually given me hope for the future of my family. |
Probably not, because my home country has its own issues. I'd move if my dcs move. |
We are likely leaving. We qualify for European citizenship and hired a law firm to do the paperwork. Also qualify for another country but that is a bit harder, still doing it. My dad didn't flee a dictatorship with nothing but his toothbrush for his grandchildren to grow up in a fascist state. |
Still blaming the liberals, huh? |
Nope, I'm not leaving. The US is still a great country. And no, I didn't vote for Trump. |
