So now that FL is out hundreds of construction workers on the new FSU housing site, why are there not lines of white and black FL workers lining up for those jobs? It's summer break. FL is teeming with college-aged men. Why are restaurants closed instead of opened with white and black workers replacing the Hispanic workers that were taken?

I grew up with a blue collar worker dad and a mom who worked as an office admin. No college between either of them. They provided excellent middle class lives for us. You cannot do that today. The pay hasn't kept up with the inflation of everything else. The house that my parents bought and raised us in back in 1992 was $169k and it just went on the market and sold for $990k. A tow truck driver and an office admin can't provide the quality of life today that my parents did years ago. But you know how the immigrants are able to provide good lives for their kids doing these jobs? Because they have multiple jobs and multiple family members living together to survive.

When he gets the bill, he fills out the paperwork that he has no private insurance and then provides 2 paystubs to prove his wages to get the bill forgiven. He's a bartender, so he always has checks that show he's "poor" when he's not really poor. They have no idea that he walks out of there into his $80k truck that he drives home to his $700k house.

People don’t go to the hospital to “take advantage”. They go to the hospital because it’s their only option and usually after a long period of not getting regular medical care that might have prevented the necessity for the hospital visit.
