Lol no they didn’t. Such a cope.

The fact of the matter is that most wealthy & UMC American high school students don’t have the chops to get into the Ivies these days. Too coddled by parents, too soft by family money, no grinder mindset, no real adversity ever faced in life.

I really wish Harvard would just institute a hard SAT requirement for the next 4 years. 1580 minimum. Just absolutely nuke all the rich kids from the applicant po

Without rich kids paying full tuition, the impoverished little mathlete you’re raising won’t be offered a free ride on the coattails of the rich kids. You certainly can’t afford thx tuition for your kid

DP... Harvard has a massive endowment, the largest of any university, and as such the "impoverished" aren't "riding on the coattails of the rich kids."

Please do stop sending your kids to college, conservatives.

We don't want your kind in charge of anything.

You will understand more if you research how university endowments work.

MAGA don’t go to college. Fact. So that’s the thing - they hate those that go to college, fomo.

My MAGA colleague, a holder of an Ivy League undergraduate degree (not Cornell) and very brilliant with numbers is sending his firstborn to a Catholic university out in VA. I’ve never heard of it. It’s called Christiandom College.

I understand how they work. Do you? Endowments usually come from money contributed to the university by people who attribute their wealth and success to the education they obtained from the university, not from "rich people paying full tuitions in order to subsidize poor students."

I feel sorry for that kid. I've been hiring manager for many hires and I'd roll my eyes and take a hard pass seeing something like Christendom College on a resume. And I'm not by any stretch anti-Catholic, as I'm Catholic, myself. If on the other hand it were a respectable Jesuit university like Georgetown, Boston College, Holy Cross, Loyola I'd give it a close look.

Colleges will all be religious with Catholic being the most prominent they already have a pipeline.

Catholics are about 1/4 of the population of America they will be the holders of the Maturnity homes ie Project 2025. They have already started building them in Oklahoma, MO, Idaho and Ohio.

Cool that you admit to being a bigot who runs an illegal discriminatory hiring operation. Make sure hooray boss knows.

Wealthy conservatives will continue to send their kids to college with the kids of other wealthy people.

Just not Harvard or Columbia aparently.

The wealthy conservatives who get in will still go to those schools.

Very few students at this replaces are actually really left wing.

Are the students that were born into families that are actively supporting this destruction of Harvard going to also support the destruction of Harvard?

In that case, why would the admissions committee want them to be coming to Harvard and why would they even apply?

Seriously.

Tons of articles about how North east SEC anpplicants are way up the last five years.

Ha ha ha … way up because those kids can’t get into the far superior academic schools in NE, mid-West and West coast. It’s hilarious you think anyone here is stupid enough to fall for the bs maga propaganda of your post. This isn’t uneducated gullible middle America here.

That is just the thing. I don't think we want to subsidize social sorting. You can summarize 90% of the function of universities with these two bullet points.

Visa Mill
Social Sorting

It's so frustrating that "Academic" prowess is so tied to "Income" at every level. Good school kindergartens to graduate schools. Not really competitive like they claim.

Trace Atkins has this one covered.

That correlation is mostly due to the fact that IQ strongly correlates with income and IQ is more than 50% heritable.
