A musical about Luigi Mangione is opening in San Francisco

Cray cray indeed.

And Canada with its thriving refugee and immigrant program (much more a nation of immigrants than the US, now), and with the public health care system that so many look down on -- somehow they manage to take better of their pregnant population than we do.

How inconvenient numbers are.

Or perhaps you need to have some desperately needed health insurance coverage be denied and then report back how you feel about Luigi.

NP I have stage 4 breast cancer and understand the frustration. I would NEVER condone violence or murder. Ever.

Has your medical treatment been denied.
your treatment didn’t get denied. Just coverage for it does

Can you pay for a procedure out of pocket? Can you get a quote on how much a procedure will cost? Can you get a payment plan? Can you just write a check for say a C-section when you are also paying $2600 a month in premiums?

Do you mean a medically advised and peer tested reason for a c section? Or “just because” you feel like having a c section, anesthesia epidural team, surgical team, etc.

Guess what? In Canada and the UK under NHS you don’t even get a obgyn when in labor and delivery. You get one midwife helping many women at the same time.

If there’s a complication good luck. Hope the surgeon is close by or in the building.
That’s why every employer in London also offers private health insurance in addition to NHs employee and employer paycheck payments. They use it for L&D and any other intensive surgery or treatment to avoid wait lists and lack of options. And thus hire less people and pay them less- since benefit costs are too high.

Enjoy!

And yet in 2022, the U.S. had a rate of 22.3 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births, while Canada's rate was about 8 deaths per 100,000.

Odd that it's still safer to deliver in Canada, isn't it?

What do you think they are dying of or from PP? Read more of the study.

They are dying of lack of access to adequate healthcare in this great country of ours. You should be keeping up, PP. Go read it yourself.

Lol. It’s almost bankrupt again like in the late 90s.

And canada doesn’t have anywhere near the absolute numbers nor relative numbers of illiterate, uneducated, unskilled illegal migrants as the U.S. does. Flying over documented refugees is small potatoes compared to the Golden Triangle chain migration phenomenon in the U.S.

Thank god there’s that thriving hospital community in Michigan to serve the Canadians who need good care, in a timely manner.

Didn’t Obama try to PAY unskilled workers to RECRUIT people for preventative care appointments under ACA and people still wouldn’t go?

Similar to how some people don’t give two F’s to actually insure or register their vehicle. Or pay their income taxes or work above board. Or immigration law. Or not stuff their face with fried or processed foods, or have their kids actually show up at school every day.

Paying people to babysit other adults didn’t work out so hot

Reminds me of that Live Chair company in balto. Making money off ACA and welfare programs.

And yet somehow more effective. How embarrassing for you.

How is Canada bankrupting its government and national health insurance again “effective?”

Man, DCUM is a fantastic case study of how far USA k-12 education and group think colleges have fallen.

You don't know to judge the medical effectiveness of a healthcare system by looking at standard medical outcomes measures? Sad.

^^

Canada's federal system is looking to provide more care, not less.

https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/canada-seeks-ensure-public-coverage-medical-care-2025a10002on?form=fpf

The US federal government spent 27% of its outlays on healthcare in 2024, which was collectively the largest category of federal spending. Canada has healthcare expense outlays at just under 10% of its total budget, and with better outcomes.

Again, how sad that you don't know numbers.

They hired, for their son, an anti-Trump social media activist lawyer KAF, and a PR agent Joan who allows fangirls to put handwritten heart notes in his court outfit bag.

They’re staying out of the picture per KAF and letting KAF run the narrative, online, fundraiser, his website, letter logs

KAF was doing full speeches and postings online - of only what she said- after the court meetings. Now both sides have been told to stop that.

I’d say the family has been forever altered and now they only care about minimizing their son’s sentencing. No matter what it takes. Or until their money runs out.

The French Revolution was preceded by a period of intermittent violence over increasing grain prices (the "Flour War").

Just saying...
