In June. It’s a backstory of his life

That entire reaction to that case was the warning that things in America were going sour. Desensitization from violence and “the ends justifying the means”. It’s incredibly dark.

Yep.

Don’t think the right wing isn’t taking notes feverishly, too. If progressives are seen as being fine with what he did, then it’s just a matter of time until RW hit squads start dropping people they don’t like in the streets. And I think they’ll be a lot more capable at it because many of them are prior military.

This is a bad direction we’re heading down.

Hey step out of your political bubble, dude. This case has nothing to do with politics. It has everything to do with our f**** up healthcare system. I know plenty of republicans/conservatives/MAGA who completely get where Luigi is coming from. You don’t because you have not had health problems that involved health insurance problems (you’re lucky). Health insurance nightmares affect both liberal and conservatives equally.

Take your cape off and step outside your bubble. Luigi is seen as an admirable person to many people of all walks of life, republicans , democrats, and independents. If you’ve never dealt with the insurance companies and the willful disregard for families STFU.

Dems seem happy to say they solved healthcare with Obamacare, but the facts on the ground is that we did not. Dem Sec Kennedy is not wrong to say the healthcare system is broken - we spend more $$ for worse outcomes. Where are the calls for reform???

OMG Dems do not say healthcare was or is solved. Obamacare was hobbled by the as always jackass Republicans. The Republicans then spent the next decade trying to get rid of the gains that were made and hobble what they could! Every single democratic candidate focused on healthcare with progressives going for single payer and centrists going for expansion with choice. What are Republicans doing? Slashing Medicare, wanting to reinstate blocks for pre existing conditions, jack up prescription drug prices for seniors, and end medical research.

National hero.

Will you say the same about the person who shoots a notable liberal in the back?

???

The guy wasn't shot because he was right-wing. He was shot because he's a healthcare CEO. The health insurance system is a disaster of opposing interests.

If you have GEHA--which is owned by United Healthcare--and you've gotten any medical services lately, you can probably relate to Luigi. I sure can. They have cost me hours and hours of time by their willful mishandling of claims.

You are one sick puppy. Seems you need to find a provider for mental health services.

Anyone who believes this cold blooded murder was somehow justified or who “understands” the actions of this deranged lunatic Mangioni needs serious help.

same people who say “we need to understand why” after Islamic terrorist attacks occur

Or perhaps you need to have some desperately needed health insurance coverage be denied and then report back how you feel about Luigi.

NP I have stage 4 breast cancer and understand the frustration. I would NEVER condone violence or murder. Ever.

Anyone ever hear about the opera about Leon klinghoffer basically celebrating his murder on the achille lauro in the 1980s?

Nah, St. Luigi is probably one of few points left and right can agree on because we all get fscked by health insurance. It has nothing to do with "dropping people they don't like" and everything to do with making CEOs who deny necessary medical coverage just a little less comfortable with their status. They're human too and we all bleed.

No, it's not "dark" at all. If anything, it's hopeful. The rich and powerful aren't immune, nor should they consider themselves safe.

The "desensitization from violence" has been a part of this country from the start. If you don't already know that, well, that's qwhite a remarkable pocket of privilege you must live in.
