I thought his monologue was pretty funny (I am a lefty middle aged white woman) except for the random Asian comment. I think he was trying to mock people who blamed Asians for covid but he bungled the delivery and it didn’t land. I think he does a good job ribbing working class white guys generally — he’s not really punching up or down, he’s punching straight across.

I don’t find his jokes misogynistic. It’s like when Che makes the joke “see ladies, you’ll get your little prescient eventually…” — as a feminist, I am laughing at these jokes. Because yes América is really sexist and these comedians are pointing it out. Would Kamala have done better if she tarted it up a little more? Maybe. Kristi Noem certainly seems to think that’s the play. Burr was saying the same thing a lot of feminists have been saying — America is not ready for a strong female president.

I thought he was pretty funny too. It was refreshing to have some old school humor that wasn’t worried about being overly pc. I wondered how he was allowed to make those jokes given all the people looking for any opportunity to be offended.

That's the stuff of nightmares.

Maybe if the cast and crew didn't hate him someone would have told him or if he didn't position himself right in the front no one would have noticed.

I noticed at first because he was standing there so awkwardly he reminded me of the old relative people being to a party anc then don’t talk to and he’s miserable because his hearing aid doesn’t work in crowds. He was just standing there in the front, staring blankly, not talking to anyone or engaged. Clearly he was always a guy with issues but he was hugely talented — stuff like 30 Rock was just really, really good. But I think the last two decades have been really hard on him with the crazy wife and all the kids and financial pressures and the Rust shooting — I can’t even imagine what a sh-t show this reality TV thing is gojng to be. I would not be surprised if we find out in 5 years that he has some sort of dementia or neurological condition.
