Yes, Bill Burr is the guest host with musical guest Mk.gee.

Kate McKinnon as Hillary Clinton singing Hallelujah just after the 2016 election and Leonard Cohen’s death was one of the most powerful cold opens I can remember. Not sure they can top that tonight.

So melodramatic, as usual.

I STILL remember this so vividly. I was heartbroken and it did make me feel better.

I can’t imagine anything doing that now. Because now I feel more than just sadness and surprise-I feel like an idiot for being so wrong again.

Insipid and self-indulgent. The first comment saying "This told me it was end of SNL". SNL was once great comedy: Bass-o-matic, King Tut, etc. This is not what viewers want. Ut's alsi not what 58% of the population wants to see, which Hollywood fails to recognize. And so no one watches SNL anymore. No one thst I know goes to movies anymore because they don't want liberal woke crap being forced down their throats. You lost. You had a terrible candidate with no message. You moved far too
left and didn't read America correctly.Grow up and fix your party.

That was so dumb, and just such a perfect example of the “This is Why Trump Won.”

Self indulgent? The very crux of republicans is self indulgent now….me me me. I want lower prices on gas and food. I don’t want poor people getting help, I don’t want to have to take a vaccine even though it helps with herd immunity, I want assault rifles available in the stores even though the school shootings can murder small children…wah wah wah. It’s not all about you.

I voted for Hillary Clinton (and Harris), and loathe Trump, and love Leonard Cohen, and I HATED that Hallelujah cold open. I agree it was self indulgent. It was a giant bummer from a comedy program at a time when people needed a laugh. It didn't serve as Amy kind of useful or insightful commentary. It was just "let's be sad together."

I liked this year's much better and liked that they did a head feint so you thought it was going to be another unfunny, self-indulgent, "right celebs are sad about something that probably won't affect them much" moment. But then they turned it into a genuinely good joke. I love Ego Nyodem claiming to be one of the 6% of black women who voted for Trump, and Heidi Gardener claiming to have voted for him 50x in Pennsylvania. The ripped Trump was funny. The butt of that whole joke is Trump and his stupid ego and that's right on the money. It's funny and it strikes at the truth.

I have extremely limited tolerance for rich people whining about the election on tv, even though I'm unhappy about the election results. Grow up. If you're unhappy, use your outsized privilege and influence to do something. Sitting there being publicly "devastated" is weak and pointless.

+1

The cold open last night was perfect. And very funny.

The Buffalo Wild Wings commercial was perfect for Bill Burr.
