Malaysia Airlines Flight Goes Missing En Route to China

FYI - the US is scaling back some of their search involvement. One ship searching in the north towards the Bay of Bengal is returning to it's normal assignment. Another naval ship is moving south towards Perth, Australia. They feel that the northern waters have been searched pretty thoroughly.

You are an extraordinarily ignorant person.

So everyone is ignorant?

Random WSJ or not, pp is apparently astoundingly ignorant about global affairs.

So you do not think that most people now consider Malaysia incompetent? Or you don't like to hear it? Because everyone is saying this.

No, everyone is not saying this. Just because a country does not have the equipment, financial background, personnel, and experience to handle something like this, does not make them "incompetent." The Malaysians are trying - through aviation treaty, they HAVE to take the lead in the investigation. Their investigation issues are not for lack of trying, but lack of being unequipped. There is a difference. Do you think the UN like hands out top of the line technology and training to every state at the beginning of the year like a first day of school or something?

You are not going to let this go. Everyone is calling the government's handling of this incompetent. You may not like to hear that but it's true.

I've actually heard the opposite. The people calling the Malaysians incompetent are generally the TV personalities that like to make the TV circuit sounding their very authoritative opinion. Those quieter voices that actually have an understanding about things, are much more understanding. I stand by my comment - you are enormously ignorant if you don't think the Malaysians are sincerely trying.

Name names? What the hell? Is this Faux News? Look at the professionals, and not the talking heads. The aviation experts and professionals, including personnel in the FAA or people that actually have extensive knowledge of SE Asia. But I understand. You think the Malaysians are incompetent, based on politicians and loudmouth talking heads. By all means think that, but it helps no one. Malaysia simply doesn't have the capacity - that's different than incompetence. Do you understand that?

Absolutely serious. Do you think all countries have an even field when it comes to technology, equipment, experience for these kinds of things?

Rest easy - when the wreckage is found, another country will take over the investigation if it's found in their waters. We just might actually have a better investigation going with the Malaysians, than other possibilities.

I think everyone seems to believe that this may all come to some resolution. That is probably not the case.
