Virginia referendum - if you hate MAGA, vote YES (even if your mailing says to vote 'No')

Anyone else think the Republican whining is a bit…unseemly? I can’t help but thinking about the little pipsqeak on the playground who bullies the big kid for years, then cries bloody murder when the big kid punches him back once and knocks him flat on his back.

AOC said it best when she said, “Wah wah wah.” I can’t help but see children every time I see Republican white men whining about injustice.

I'm not whining. I am waiting to see how the court case turns out. Either way, you can say goodbye to your guns, and hello to marijuana and a new casino. Fairfax did their job, and you get your reward from the pols in Richmond. Now, send them that tax money.

Yes. It gives away their playbook: screw over libs at all costs no matter how underhanded the tactics, while expecting Democrats take it on the chin and always take the high road. Democrats playing by their rules really threw them for a loop.

"I'm not whining, I'm not whining!" he whines, as he posts longwinded whines on DCUM.

Yep. And while I'm not necessarily a Gavin Newsom fan, I do respect that he came out swinging as soon as the Rs tried this stunt in TX.

+1

Maybe it was intended to be a parody of a whiny MAGA loser?

This referendum had nothing to do with local issues like this, plus Spanberger already vetoed the casino.

100%

-former long time Californian resident and former R who did not like Newsom.

I respect him just a little bit for not taking things lying down. I wish more Dem controlled states did this.

For now. It will come back again, and again, and again.

They delay on the local issues was strategic. Please don't be fooled.

This is going to result in Democrats winning 10 of Virginia's 11 House districts. Reminder: Virginia is purple state. That's completely ridiculous. Why don't you just ban Republicans from voting altogether?

Politicians gaming the rules to nullify the votes of people they don't like is some shady fkcng business, and this genie does not go back in the bottle. When Republicans come back into power, as they inevitably will, I'm surely they do the same thing to Democrats, but worse. It's never just tit for tat.

Why don’t Republicans agree to ban gerrymandering altogether?

I don't think you understand the definition of gerrymander. The Republicans get one congressional district and that is it. The GOP taught Virginia how this is done.

They literally already did that, including in Virginia.
