QP has done NOTHING on the field for VDA. For VDA girls, QP has empowered the right people to move the club forward. That includes hiring BP which wouldn’t have happened if a certain VDA coach didn’t intervene and keep BP from going to another DMV club when he left FCV.

VDA was a top 25 club before BP. It will be top 5 in a few years with BP steering the ship as long as ML and AS stay as involved as they are now.

When BP left FCV, he could’ve gone to any club in the area, but he chose to go to Vda and definitely doesn’t make the kind of money that he would make at other places further north. I think that says something.

Quan only wants kids for HP elite.

BP was not popular at fcv. They were thrilled when he left the area. He, along with his wife, have trouble staying employed in the soccer world. Toxicity is a terrible trait.

The above post reads as if he wrote it himself.

Your first sentence shows how little you’re actually around the program and how unfamiliar you are with all of the people involved.

I agree on your point about toxicity. Pot meet kettle?

No. We drank the HPE Kool aid too. No issue there. It's a fine supplemental program for young strikers.

I'm around "the program" more than I around like to be. DD has many practices week in Haymarket. I know all about BP and his coaching issues. I can not wait to my kid to move on to college. We have had a few coaches in our soccer journey and when you hear unbelievable negative things about coaches...believe them. Rumors start with a truth.

VSA but never made VDA. So bitter.

Wow. Since you could not make a smart post you made an untrue one? You are sad. If you have nothing relevant to say just go back to your podcast.

Interesting. I’m an NVA parent and our team didn’t have any. I did hear some of the younger teams did, but I’ve also heard it’s because some parents are nervous their child won’t get a fair shot with the new coach at REV.

Please let your child compete. That’s how they grow. If you’re constantly worried before it even plays out, you’ll be jumping clubs every year.

Let them earn it.[/quote]

Some players have NO interest in fighting for time on unnecessarily bloated rosters.

Players don't compete when they don't feel the coach treats them fairly. Obsessed with players that beat up other players is not a coaching method.

21 players on a high school age roster isn’t bloated.

lies u. No one wants to go there

Brought my son to an ID session at NVA as well, small world so we recognize the top players and was surprised at who was there. Whether there is real interest time will tell but don’t discount how many kids showed up.
so you are going to try to snatch one of the top spots. Good luck. Follow up w us.

No thanks, targeting MLS Next HG and VRSC doesn’t have that level of play yet

Have people forgotten that vr$c only has GA because they bought the spot and MLS 2 is a fake badge? This club is a collection of cuts and demoted players/coaches. Money is the motive.

Sure, Jan. The teams I follow they are no where near as poor performers as STJ and Loudoun.

Some people switch clubs, not because they are worried about competing, but maybe because they are worried about development.

My son has been "auditing" teams since mid fall of last year, because we've seen the level of development decrease, year over year. We have been fortunate to be able to experience practices at VDA, NVA, Arlington, Bethesda, Fairfax Union and McLean. The level, just in the everyday training at all of those clubs (for the most part) was several steps above VRSC. Sometimes people move clubs, not avoiding competition, but chasing a better environment for their kid.

We made calm, calculated choices all year for our kid, focusing on them as the consumer because that is the only real power we have. We are very relieved to be leaving VRSC and now are just worried how miserable the spring will be, with them knowing we have dipped. His coach seems to be taking "reports" of kids at other tryouts not well...

live life. Enjoy the moments while they are young and in the house. What will be will be so don't fret on the coaches.

Very much an astute assessment on the training and development. A lot has to do with coaching styles and club resources. Parents should research and ask questions before hitting on the accept button

U19 has more but the rest of the teams in high school are 20-21 player rosters.

Buyer beware. This club likes to bait and switch.

can you elaborate on bait and switch?

Very few of the high school age teams are made up of players that came from that specific club. There is actually very little development happening anywhere. They have constant practices and little internal improvement. The “best” coaches are recruiting. It’s the same in college by the way. It’s a survival of the fittest and this doesn’t necessarily mean the best player.

I always hear high school coaches talking about how great they are and some are constantly posing online.

the townhall meeting / presentation showed that all GA and Aspire girls should have had their review by the end of this week. Has anyone actually had one, yet?
