Stephen Miller and Denaturalization

Anonymous
Stephen Miller is talking about turbocharging the denaturalization process for US citizens of foreign origin in 2025 if Trump is elected.

I wonder if Sebastian Gorka will be included in this process.

“But I did it the right way” said the brown immigrants who voted for Trump.

Sure, let's ignore people like Trump's lazy, entitled, democracy-hating US-born insurrectionists who attacked the Capitol and instead strip hard-working immigrants of the citizenship they worked so hard for.

I mean, as long as you have your papers in order it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
Just don’t be caught out without them.
Have several copies in separate places in case of natural disasters.
Make sure you don’t upset anyone that might be willing to cast doubt on your immigration status. That includes all of the local bigots that you’ve never given much thought to because they obviously are “okay with” you.
Make sure your family members have their ducks in a row so their possible mess doesn’t come back to you.
Have lots of acquaintances that will vouch that you’re “one of the good ones”.
Easy breezy.

If you go back far enough, we all are.

Papers won’t matter for denaturalization. Miller is saying your well-maintained papers aren’t valid anymore. But agreed, it’s going to be important that even documented individuals become as invisible as possible over the next four years.

Here is a super interesting article breaking down that it does happen now and has for a long time/how Trump would expand on it:

I wonder how all those Cuban Trumpers feel about Stephen Miller’s plan down in Hialeah. I mean, if they are going to go after naturalized citizens that do not speak English, that is the place to go.

“The Denaturalization Section will further the department’s efforts to pursue those who unlawfully obtained citizenship status and ensure that they are held accountable for their fraudulent conduct,”

if you unlawfully obtained citizenship you should be naturalized. Not sure why this is controversial

So basically Nazi Germany where any brownshit can ask a person walking down the street to see their "papers"

Exactly what papers are we going to be required to carry with us at all times? Or will there be an app for that?

Four?

Why do you assume it is only four? Once such a regime is in place, it is almost impossible to remove, and certainly a simply election won't change it.

Why doesn't he just make everyone wear a yellow badge or get a tattoo with a number on it? You know, like his and my forebears? I'm sure that'll work out well in the end.

What are the criteria for "unlawfully obtained citizenship"? If someone got their citizenship through marriage, but later divorced, does that make their naturalization go away? If some form that was supposed to be filed during the process can no longer be found, does that make the citizenship "unlawfully obtained"? This is essentially a way to reduce the number of legal minority citizens in the country, because by and large, they do not support Trump.
