Disney this long weekend

Anyone else canceling because of hurricane Milton!? Looks like it might be going right through Orlando Wed/Thurs.

Yes, of course.

Cancel.

Yeah it’s getting worse.

Not exactly the same but sort of reminds me of hurricane Charley in 2004 that went across the state hitting Orlando. I believe the parks only closed for one day, which is pretty miraculous, considering all the damage in central Florida from that storm. I think a bigger issue depending on when travel is- is the ability to get there.

Wow! The people living there are about to be devastated and you’re worried about your precious little Disney trip?! You’re a spoiled brat, OP.

I think you're spot on, Disney will be up and running by this weekend.

+1. I'll be surprised if they are not open by Friday. Maybe a delayed opening, but open. MCO as well.

Disney will likely reopen but the area will still be impacted by travel issues, shipping delays (think: food, gas, provisions, etc.). And if power outages occur or a/c units are damaged, it won’t be fun.

Again: it might be fine, or it might be a mess.

I live in Orlando and I'm not put off by this question. That's part of what's nice about this board, get some eyes on the ground and see what's going on in reality.
OP, it's not great here and there is likely going to be major power outages. You just don't know what the hotel experience will be if you come. There is going to be a need to recover, and not sure if you're going to want to be there for that.
We are 100% about to walloped.

You just sound jealous. (Not OP.)

You can probably wait and see. Hurricane will hit Wednesday and Thursday. When do you leave?

I’d cancel, it looks bad. Why risk it?
