| In-state cost for UVA School of Engineering is more than 50K per year now. How ridiculous! |
| I’m a little jealous of state systems like SUNY that are lower on prestige but also half the price of uva. |
| Is Virginia cheap about funding its in-state colleges? What drives the cost of these schools to be more expensive than some of their comparators? |
Even UMD is nearly 1/2 the price in state. |
Except you have to go to college in wonderful places like Binghamton. |
| UVA engineering surcharge is absurd. Virginia tech engineering surcharge is 2000 and UVA is 10,000. |
If a 20 yo can’t have fun in a boring town w 10,000 other 20 year olds, then they’re not doing youth right |
Virginia is cheap. Other southern states heavily subsidize in state students, Virginia doesn't and allows UVA more leeway to set tuition than other states |
| Just paid 22,163, eng no health for semester. Did price go up? |
Are you for dorm and freshman meal plan? |
We're cheap and the funding goes down every year. Call your reps. Vote accordingly. |
My co-worker told me they were paying like $70k last two years at UVA engineering. Made me feel less bad about paying $85k for my kid's Ivy. |
|
UVA OOS for Engineering is now like $90k.
In fairness, many international schools price college more ala carte and engineering often times has a premium because it needs more resources. My kid was interested in U Toronto and Waterloo and STEM majors all paid like a C$15,000ish premium. |
I think UVA just charges more. |
|
that's insane. $200K for a state school
NOPE |
