Oh that makes a lot of sense! I think her mom said something crazy like she's been praying for a reconciliation these past two decades. Being with Ben is the ultimate approval.

She said she prayed for 20 years that they’d get back together. Within a month of their relationship reunion, Ben and J Los mom were hitting the Vegas slot machines at 3am without J Lo. Is this really appropriate? He’s also a recovering alcoholic .

Ben is permanently banned from the Hard Rock Cafe for being “too good at blackjack”. He says he spent years and years figuring out the game that the cafe banned him because he kept winning so much or calling bluffs and giving good advice to others. He even considered suing to get back in. This is insane addict behavior

He should have just continued to roll over and take the ongoing violations of his privacy and the commodification of their relationship? My only quibble with him is that he was too dumb to realize this was inevitable, and he's a jerk for promising her this time it would be forever.

Agree but no one thought the movie would get great reviews. No studio would touch it which is why she had to fund it all herself. It is essentially a music video with a few scenes that are not music interspersed in. Those are never going to do well. I mean, you can’t blame prince for trying because the album purple rain was a masterpiece
But No one was saying JLO’s album that the movie is based on as a masterpiece. She even said it herself in the documentary, “no one is asking for an album from JLO I’m doing this for myself” (wish I actually found surprisingly astute for her to admit).

So it’s not like it was surprise it was a flop. The sad thing is, I think Ben really loved her - that’s why he allowed himself to be part of this even though everyone, and I mean, absolutely everyone, told her this was a bad idea. He obviously knew it, but he went along with it because he loved her that’s why it’s so sad that they can’t make it work. But they clearly cannot make it work.

That’s not what he claims. He claimed he was banned because he was “too good at the game” and was “helping others out”.

This is classic gambler behavior. “I don’t do this for me.. I do this for the common good. I want everyone to win”.

Gambling is such an insidious and toxic addiction because it’s very hard to stop as there are no physical or health complications to it . Your body tells you when you should stop drinking . It doesn’t tell you when you should stop gambling money away.

I find it pathetic that Vegas casino workers say J Lo was hated for taking as much of Lupe or Ben’s cash off the tips or betting tables as she can.

J Lo is financially responsible and a sound business woman. Why does she torture herself playing babysitter to her mother and husband ?

The last few pages have actually made me respect JLo a bit more, though I do feel sorry for her and think she's made some terrible choices.

I doubt either she or Ben will find true happiness, for different reasons. But if I had to predict their futures, I'd say that she will continue her pattern of working hard, looking good, and desperately chasing --and losing-- love. She's not emotionally healthy, but she believes in herself and what she wants and she's disciplined. She'll keep going until the end. Ben I fear will circle the drain and die too young.

Garner made a comment recently about how she is a baby making machine and still fertile. I’m not sure what that was all about or if it was a dig at Jennifer Lopez who reportedly considered surrogacy with Ben but I found the comment rather distasteful and unusually catty coming from her especially the part about Ben being a baby making machine. She has her own boyfriend so why can’t she make baby jokes about him instead of an ex? She’s clearly not over Ben either no matter what she says

It’s all interesting she gave credence to the baby trap rumors that she stopped birth control and dumped Michael Vartan the moment Ben called to ask her out, and her oops pregnancy with Violet was planned by her so Ben could marry her quickly .

It’s weird she would make reference to her and her ex’s fertility while she is in a new relationship, her kids are teenagers, and he is married to an older woman in her mid 50s.

Jen G. is a little too "for the sake of my kids' father" with him. Although it sounds funny, she's too sympathetic toward him. He is making all of his life choices without her, she doesn't need to hop in when their are consequences. Ben has other people in his life who care about him. She needs to draw boundaries in her dealings with Ben to protect her kids too. They need someone outside of the storm.

I would agree it’s dumb shit if she hadn’t made the comment right on the heels of a tabloid story a couple months ago about Jennifer considering a surrogate with Ben for more kids.. Perhaps this was also the last straw for separation.

Nobody asked or cared about Garner’s fertility and her ease getting pregnant by Ben but she made the comment at a very awkward time
