It’s interesting how one Jen changed/transformed herself for Ben and took a backseat from the spotlight and career and the other would and literally can’t ever comprise or change herself for Ben or seemingly anyone else.

JLo has had grey hair since her 20s and she already has wrinkles.
She'll continue to look as great as anyone can, she'll continue to fall in and out of love and will probably have another wedding or two, she'll continue to work hard and be disciplined, her work will continue to get mediocre to poor reviews, she'll have the same kind of relationship with her kids that she's always had, and at some point she'll die, without many regrets because that's just not how she is. She'll be remembered for about a year after her death for being very beautiful, unlucky in love, breaking the beauty/body ideal in the 90s, and being one of the first international Latina superstars. Ben doesn't want the pressure to change for or respond to someone else when he doesn't feel like it. Doesn't want to always be JL's loving cheerleader. Didn't want to always be JG's grounded family man.

How do you not see that THIS is the big PR relationship? They are both has beens who saw that getting married would increase both their value. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked THAT well since JLo hasn’t been able to sell tickets to her concerts. Luckily for her she can manufacture “trouble” in the relationship giving her an excuse to cancel concerts.

There will be more back and forth the rest of this year before they ultimately break up in 2025 like their contract stipulates.

Thank you! This seems so obvious to me and I can’t believe so many people are falling for it. Their first go round was a PR relationship too. There were blinds when JLo’s relationship with ARod was going south about how her people were shopping around for a man she could land on her feet with so she didn’t look like a pathetic dumped middle aged woman.

Agree but no one thought the movie would get great reviews. No studio would touch it which is why she had to fund it all herself. It is essentially a music video with a few scenes that are not music interspersed in. Those are never going to do well. But No one was saying JLO’s album that the movie is based on as a masterpiece. She even said it herself in the documentary, “no one is asking for an album from JLO I’m doing this for myself” (wish I actually found surprisingly astute for her to admit).

So it’s not like it was surprise it was a flop. The sad thing is, I think Ben really loved her - that’s why he allowed himself to be part of this even though everyone, and I mean, absolutely everyone, told her this was a bad idea. He obviously knew it, but he went along with it because he loved her that’s why it’s so sad that they can’t make it work. But they clearly cannot make it work.

Sidebar- Purple Rain was incredibly successful at the box office and won an Oscar for best song. Not the best comparison.

Ok fine - one person has managed to make this movie format work, but the point about Purple Rain being a masterpiece album vs JLO’s album which she herself flat out admitted wasn’t much is still relevant.

Either way, advice to musicians trying this out - make sure you do make one of the most successful albums of all time to base it on, and then MAYBE it will work.

Ben’s relationship with Ana was definitely PR. But I think if JLO and Ben had a contract and it was just for PR it wouldn’t be ending like this.

She wasn’t dumped by A Rod. He cheated with some blonde chick from some Bravo reality show . I think it’s called Southern Charm.

J Lo didn’t want to head down the aisle with someone who found a way to cheat even during a pandemic so she broke up with him. Before the break up was even announced, she and Ben were already talking and she didn’t reach out to him. He reached out to her after hearing the bad headlines about a cheating scandal.

He always does with with her and Garner. He ping pongs and uses the affection of both at his own whim

This is being taken way out of context. The comment was part of an interview she did for a podcast about motherhood. The whole conversation was about being a mom and having a mom. She was talking about how lucky she was to be a mom and how lucky she was to have had easy pregnancies and time conceiving. She joked she was born to breed and that she could at 52 go out and pop another baby out in a field “right now.”

She was obviously kidding and in no way is she planning to have a baby with Ben. Ridiculous.
