| I am sick and last night BF set me up with throat coat tea, prescription anti-tussive, tissues and wastebasket and went to my apartment while I was napping to get the inhaler I forgot. When I woke up coughing overnight he calmly kept his hand on my back and at 4am got up to set up a humidifier. On a scale of 1-10 where are we? |
All the women on this website have turned into toddlers, needing so much babying, keeping track of the babying, and shouting I need! I want! all the time. |
| You're at 9. Keep him! |
| Solid 10. |
|
Is this a real question? A humble brag?
What else would you need? |
|
No chicken noodle soup?
Dump him. |
| No |
| Op. To the people calling me needy, I didn’t ask for anything. This is what he does unprompted. |
| Not at all. Ever. Even when my mother died. Even when I had a c-section and his parents wanted to visit a few days later. |
| When I get sick or injured, my husband lasts for exactly 12 hours and then he develops a “worse” illness or injury and takes to bed for days. |
| DH takes great care of me when I'm sick. Generally I want to be left the F alone when I don't feel good. So he makes sure to keep up with my meds if I forget, makes sure I have fluids and foods I like. More importantly he handles everything else. Laundry, cleaning, taking care of DS, cooking, etc. When I am feeling better , it isn't like I have things to catch up on. I don't get sick often but when I do it's nice because I can rest and take care of myself and DH happily handles the house and kids. |
This, only add "wants a medal and a bj" for his 12-hour shift of being a passably-decent human being.
|
| DH is an MD and does nothing when I am sick or hurt. |
Asking bc I haven’t had a man like this before. I don’t know whether this is normal or special. |
| You have a good one. Not the only good one out there, but I’m always surprised by posts here that they’re all not like that. My husband and friends are! |
