DH and I are wildly apart on this issue and would love to know what others do.
It probably matters what time they have to get up for school.
8pm, which crept up to 8:30 halfway through the year for 2nd dc. They’d get 20 minutes to read after bedtime
8:00 pm
In bed around 8, reads for a while, used to be asleep around 8:30 but that's been pushed back to 9 due to some anxiety at bedtime. Is consistently up between 6-6:30 if not a little earlier.
Lights out at 9. Half the time she is asleep earlier but that’s the limit.
My 4th grader is wired as a night owl. In bed lights out 930, I think he often isn't asleep till 10. Up 20 min before we leave for school, always a mad dash. Sleeps to 830-9am if he can.
8pm
We read a book together from 7:45-8:15 give or take and he is in bed and asleep by 8:30. He has always been an early bird. He wakes at 5:30-6 daily. My younger ones are not like this. They are in bed by 8 but are chatting away and generally messing around until 9 (or 10 last night).
11 hours before they have to wake up.
All of ours (5,7,10) go to sleep around 9/9:30. They are up on school days at 8 (school starts at 9). With activities it’s tough to get them in bed earlier!
8-8:15p
Go to bed or fall asleep? Mine falls asleep at 9:15 like clockwork no matter when she starts bedtime. Wakes up around 6:30, sometimes as late as 7:00.
8 pm and up at 6 am
|
Interesting responses, I never realized so many go to bed early at 8/8:15. We are finishing dinner and hw at that hour. Do you all SAH?
Due to birthday my 4th grader is 9 turning 10. 10pm bedtime. |
