+1. I am a Dem but based on my DH’s extended family, the border IS the issue. And just look at the Trump’s campaign, he us basically running on this because he has nothing else. Economy is great, inflation is down to 3% and trending down, stock market is great, things are fine for most people and Trump certainly cannot run on increasing the debt to unsustainable level to give megabillionaires even more money, which eventually will lead to more taxes just to pay for the interest on the debt, or on cutting SS and Medicare.
