IDK. Just talked to my kids. One attending Oberlin (and voting in Ohio, BTW). And my more moderate kid at a VA State school. Both strongly favor Harris over Biden and think more of Gen Z turns out for her vs sitting at home. (Neither think There is a world in which Gen Z turns out for Trump. It’s turn out for Harris or stay home in their minds).

Agree! Typical stereotyping. College GenZ son. We’ve been texting endlessly since the debate. He’s been concerned about Biden’s decline. He would vote for him regardless, but these kids are about single issues, optics, and polling. Sometimes we were at odds. His roommates and friends are all working in city this summer. All are onboard for Harris with a stellar VP. They think Mark Kelly is an excellent choice for VP. They all believe that his wife, Gabby Gifford, would be an incredible face and voice for stricter gun laws. This is a large group of young men and women 20-21 yo at a very liberal Jesuit university. Of course they are voting. I think Harris is more palatable for the kids who vehemently believe that genocide is happening Palestine. They blame Biden for supporting Netanyahu. He’s now home for a few days hanging out with his high school friends and they are not even considering not voting. GenZ has a lot to be concerned about as they inherit some incredibly difficult challenges ahead.
