For those wondering, North Arlington is getting a triplex townhouse set in Donaldson Run. 10k sq foot lot, paved edge to edge for townhouse, garages, and driveways.
Even has a vestigial yard. Too bad that kind of construction will kill all the tree cover. And Taylor, while without functioning AC, at least is not that overcrowded yet. But these units won’t be families, as they have assured the community many times. |

Weird. Are there other TH/multi-family homes around? |
Zero. |
Of course not. This is what all the missing middle hoopla was about |
This is literally what MM allows - by right 1-4 unit residential real estate on SFH blocks.
Small time flippers are gonna love it. |
Gotta hand it to the developers, sell the county on smart growth around metro stations, pack them with renters, then woo the renters to vote for MM and then pace over the county for profit. |

Every one of you who voted for the county board, I blame you. |
At least when I am forced to abandon Arlington county, I can hope my sht shack will sell |
This neighborhood is filled with retirees. Expect this to be a bizarro Fairlington in 5 years, without the community and great pools. |
The home linked in this thread sold for too cheap. Land is now very valuable in Arlington County. If you own a big corner lot, congrats. |
How about a small corner lot? We are at 8000, what can they do with our lot? Lemonade out of lemons… |
I wouldn't worry about a handful of kids each year from million dollar missing middle units spread throughout Arlington. Elsewhere in the county, they have to find room for hundreds of kids any time a large affordable housing complex opens. If you are actually worried about school overcrowding, focus on that. If you're just worried about your neighborhood, I think you need a little perspective. |
