Verdict Wednesday!

Can we start a new thread on actual verdicts and reaction when the jury comes back today? Doubt they will deliberate more than a day.

It will go until Friday. Free meals and the judge will keep sending them back trying to get a unanimous decision. In the end hung jury. Either 9-3 or 8-4.

Trump basically used the Chewbacca Defense, while the prosecution went into great detail and had literal receipts. This is going to be quick.

There's so many felony counts that its going to take the jury a long time to come to agreement. They need to go through 34 felonies individually. This will not be quick.

Well, the charges require that Trump intended to falsify records in furtherance of another crime, but the prosecutors literally didn't say what that crime was (and somehow the judge didn't require them to name it either). So I wouldn't be convinced that they even stated a crime here...

Look, Trump has skated on everything his entire life including incidents that would have been career-ending for any regular politician. Why would this time be any different?
