I wonder what type of corrupt Islamofascist state they envision? Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hizbullah, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and so many other terrorist organizations are all waiting in the wings to take control!
And what imaginary state will be recognized next? Narnia? Middle Earth?
As usual, this virtue-signaling doesn't help a single Palestinian.

I watched a webinar recently with speakers from a range of perspectives on this issue (Israeli former IDF, Palestinian with family in Gaza, American human rights advocate, American of Jewish descent, etc) and the one line that stuck out to me was “peace is not going to be achieved through war”. The webinar also highlighted the impact of trauma and how that has affected behavior of both Israelis and Palestinians. At least the step taken with a recognition of a Palestinian state moves the region closer to peace. Isn’t that what we all want for the people living in the region?

I also wonder every time someone labels Palestinian groups as terrorists how one sided this label is. Israel has killed and imprisoned many many multiples of Palestinians both through the current war and all through the past. To simply label the groups that step forward in leadership roles for Palestinians as terrorists seems overly simplistic to me.

What other alternative is there for permanent peace?
At some point Israel will have to stop the land grab in the West Bank, or tell the world what kind of border they need to stop taking more land

Both sides could be called terrorists. But one side has undeniably more power, and one side has been undeniably robbed and oppressed. I would kill to secure the safety and freedom of my children too.

They will never stop taking more land. They believe themselves divinely entitled to the entire region. Palestine is only the first stage.

Will Biden and Blinken condemn these countries who obviously are all Hamas? The US would never allow a Palestinian state.

Biden needs to stop supporting Hamas and questioning Israel. The Israelis will need a lot of money to rebuilding Gaza once the Palestinians are gone.

Stealing land is a tale as old almost all living things. The reasoning behind may vary, but, right now, there are similar land grabs going on simultaneously all over the world. Why is this one different? Because they are stealing it back?
