If students stopped fighting because a principal simply screamed at them, then an armed police officer was not needed.

My apologies, I misread the OP. However, if an unarmed principal can do it, why do we need someone with a gun?

I’m not anti gun. We own guns. I just don’t think they belong in schools.
I’m not anti-cop. My brother is in law enforcement. I don’t think coos belong in schools either. Even my brother who is the 2nd best man I know.

I won't comment either way on whether there should be SROS or armed police officers in schools, but Mr. Taylor may have been unarmed but he isn't your typical principal. He's not only an excellent principal, he spent time in the military. I don't think it's reasonable to expect that all principals be able to break up a physical fight between high school students.

DCUM is an incredibly sheltered place. There should be zero tolerance for fighting, but the idea that parents need to be alerted any time something like this happens, and that the sky is falling when it does, is insane.
