No, guys! It can’t possibly be that no one is talking about it because no one even knows about it because no one gives a shit about Olympic tennis, particularly a non-American competing in DOUBLES! It MUST be racism/sexism!!!

He was playing in the bronze medal singles match when he melted down and threw his racquet into the stands. Novak is coming off of two major championships, is one of the greatest players of all time, and is very famous, even among Americans. The point is that his bad behavior does not seem to tarnish his athletic accomplishments in the eyes of the public.

He’s coming off of 3 major championships not 2. He’s a phenomenal athlete and also an a$$. I watch a lot of tennis and can’t stand him.

Right sorry. As in he has won every major championship so far this year and was quite famously aiming for a Golden slam. Do people really not care about him or know who he is?

People don't like him. He's been a jerk for a long time and a lot of people thought he was doping when his career started. He could play a 5 hour match and not seem to have any affect in a match 2 days later. He's made so many obnoxious comments and has been a jerk toward women for a long time. I don't like Kyrios but I agree with what he says about the djoker.

You want to play tennis at the Australian Open? Follow the rules and get vaxxed. You should not be able to claim medical exemption.

Articles I read said 99(?) others were able to claim medical exemptions too. Do we know the status of those people? They also shouldn't be allowed into Australia.

Sadly, not that. If he can play at the Australian Open, he could win (again) and surpass Federer and Nadal for most majors. Djokovic is a lot of things, including a great tennis champ.

I'm wondering that too- it seems that AO organizers and the Australian government were not on the same page with granting exemptions. My understanding was that the process was anonymous, is it only because Djokavic brought attention to himself that the government got involved?
