And that has gotten him nada. Not close to his older brother (just like Harry). Nothing of his own and no path to provide his young children with the childhood he had. |
What a spectacularly awful idea. He seems absolutely hellbent on burning every possible bridge with his family. One would hope that reaching the same age his mother was when she died might inspire some reflection about how we are never guaranteed a tomorrow and there might be no opportunity later on to fix anything that's broken. But I guess not.
Why he has to air every single problem with his family in full view of the entire globe, like he's the only one who's ever suffered anything, is beyond me. I never thought I'd feel bad for Prince Charles but here I am. I used to really like Harry and sympathize with him but the last 2 years have done away with that. This is not how you handle things and he's going to regret it eventually, if he ever digs his way out of the self-absorbed spiral fed by the grasping climbers he's surrounded himself with. |
Money, titles, access, and relationship. It’s not like instead of money he has some great relationship with his siblings that Harry doesn’t have. Edward isn’t close to Charles at all (in my opinion because Charles is resentful of his warmer relationship with his parents). And his parents basically promised him on his wedding a title that they couldn’t actually give him and his brother was like “nope!” |
Huh? Anne’s kids have very comfortable lives and will not be lining up for food stamps once their mother is gone. They will receive inheritances from their grandmother and have already received healthy sums from the Queen Mother. They may not live as large as William and Harry but they will still have incredibly privileged lifestyles. Why would they need to mooch off their uncle? |
He clearly doesn’t like them and thus doesn’t care about burning bridges. |
He already has mental health issues so in his case…yes. |
Yes, that is the point. Charles wants to change the rules, and Archie/Lili would be the first grandchildren affected. |
Because they're already mooching off their uncle? Unless you think living in your mother's backyard next to your ex-wife while doing marijuana ads is living large for the fun of it. |
$20 million for his book deal is the baseline (they have no idea what it is and the royal rota almost had a coronary when they found out what the Netflix deal was). But anyway - $20 million for the book, $20 million for her book, $100 million for netflix, $30 million for spotify. Yeah...I'd put up with a lot for $170+ million falling in my lap in a year's time. |
Really? How is Charles funding Anne’s kids right now? |
They did not get $100 million upfront from Netflix lol. So there goes that theory. |
They are using their royal connections to make money their way, just like the Sussexes are. Why is one acceptable to you but not the other? If not for the circumstances of their birth or marriage no one would give any of these people the time of day. |
He did do a tv interview where he talked about how he only cheated on his wife after his marriage had “irretrievably broken down.” It was way worse than the Oprah interview and Charles is the heir to the throne. |
Was that before or after Diana’s interview? |
The announcement said the proceeds of the book sale would be donated to charity. |
