So, now, I don't agree that there's any reason to continue mask mandates.

American exceptionalism is why 90% of Americans have a free covid vaccine available now within a few miles of their house. Think about that. Think about how we could end the pandemic in this country in a matter of days. We wouldn’t even need to vaccinate 5 year olds. There would be zero reason for anyone to wear a mask. Sadly American exceptionalism is also why that won’t happen. But the pandemic is over for vaccinated people and hopefully it will be over for kids soon too

Unbelievable. The entire nation sacrificed events and school and jobs and freedom of movement and billions of dollars in economic growth, along with trillions in future taxes to pay for COVID-related expenses. To expect anyone to continue sacrificing those things for the incredibly minuscule risk to kids from COVID (yes, documented by science) goes way beyond selfishness.

While I am sorry for the immunocompromised, they are always at constant risk from a myriad of infections and would have been before COVID and still will be after COVID. They must take necessary precautions to protect themselves. It is unreasonable to expect that others should bear that responsibility.

Went to a Harris Teeter in MoCo today and 85% of people still wearing masks. It’s going to take a while before people feel comfortable not being masked in places like grocery stores.

-stop using single use plastic for your Starbucks latte so our kids have an inhabitable planet

I'm a dutiful rule follower. When they told me to mask up, I did. When they told me it is no longer required, I dont.

I've got too much going on to go an re-analyze the work being done by CDC and numerous other entities, and I'm not living the one life I get worried about "what people think". If you're wearing a mask, I presume you have some need to do so. Haven't been vaxxed, immunocompromised, or just anxiety. No problem, you do you best.
