No more MoCo indoor masks!

I felt like I was parting the Red Sea as people practically ran away from me. I guarantee that the worried well far outnumber any “MAGA” types. I actually spent a total of 4 or 5 months in the South during the pandemic. People here just have no idea about how the rest of the country is functioning and how silly this is.

Um. Yay?

Why does it bother you if other people wear masks at Target or Safeway?

Nothing says unhinged like getting into a car with conservative bumped stickers and stuff spelled out in all caps in masking tape on the back window of his brand new Lexus SUV.

A significant amount of MoCos population is vaccinated, MoCo is working on getting poorer and hesitant people vaccinated, and people like me who have other health issues are mostly still wearing N95 or similar masks out.

At this point, why not let the smaller MoCo maga population infect each other?

I feel badly for people with immune problems, but like me, they probably aren't going to many places.

And others get glared at by anxiety ridden people just for following CDC guidelines.

Both extremes are equally just as bad.

don't disagree. People have gone nuts, on both sides. I want to live around centrist people. Not either extremists.

Ah. Bothsideism. A tell-tale sign of the MAGA crowd.

All you are saying is that progressives are hypocrites. You're a fool.

I am contributing to the conversation and disputing the fact that MAGA types are running around yelling at people for wearing masks. No, quite the opposite in MoCo. And reporting that several days on in MoCo, people appear to be denying the science and continuing to wear masks. Does this bother me? No, knock yourselves out. But it is very apparent that anxiety is running rampant in my portion of the county.

At an outdoor farmers market yesterday people were still masked. I think it is going to take the better part of the next month for people to be comfortable going unmasked in public. It was more about seeing that everyone else at the market had one on, so people masked up. People approached the market unmasked, saw that people were wearing masks, and then get theirs out and put them on. Full disclosure, I did the exact same thing.

Probably a lot of parents at the market and/or people who care about kids.

How does vaccinated people not wearing masks at an outdoor formers market equal caring about kids?

Did the CDC say "You must not wear masks! You must stop wearing masks!"? Because if not, it's not "denying the science" to continue to wear masks.

That is completely true, but so is the converse. Vaccinated people who have chosen to stop wearing masks are not covid or science deniers, or MAGA, they are simply following the guidelines put out by medical experts. Everyone take a deep breath and respect others personal choices now that we have reached the point in the pandemic where medical experts have approved people making choices for themselves based on their individual circumstances.

+1 thank you.. once again, I'd like to live in a place where people have some common sense and are not extremists, yes, on both sides.

Once again, Elrich and Gayle are very conservative when it comes to covid. You may recall how much flack they got from many people in MoCo over their perceived extreme measures. They are now following CDC guidelines and lifiting the mask mandates. If they think it's safe, then those of you who thought they were making the right call earlier on should feel confident about their decisions now.
