| I think I know why people are still wearing masks inside. It’s not that they want to keep wearing masks but everyone is confused as to what stores are still Maths up. For example, Safeway, are they still requiring masks? |
why should I wear a mask because some people are pitching fits about people who are following guidelines? I asked a different question which is related to the "that's a different question". |
I agree with this, and have to make a point to ask store managers. Most people don't have time or don't want to bother with that. CVS now has a sign up that says masks are "recommended." Target hasn't taken down masking signs in at least two stores, but both managers told me I didn't have to wear it. I wish they'd start putting out pro-drop the damn mask signs! |
Helpful hint: see if there's a sign on the door, when you go in. |
All restrictions aren’t dropped until the 28th. Until then you should wear a mask indoors if not fully vaccinated. I received my second shot this week. Thousands of people are receiving first and second doses every day. They could cheat but most people in MoCo are following the rules. |
Not true. Some of the retailers haven’t bothered to take signs down even though their policy has changed |
I received my second shot (DC) today. I will continue to wear a mask indoors and outdoors until kids can get vaccinated. Kids are supposed to wear masks until they are vaccinated - and I need to both model good behavior for my kids and respect the well-being of other kids. The virus can breakthrough, the variants can break-through and while most young children who get the virus are fine, hundreds have died. |
Then if it really bothers you, you can put your mask on, go inside, and ask to speak to a manager to ask about the mask policy. |
Then they can wear a mask. |
What kind of bubble do you live in that you don't understand that some people have lives and jobs where missing "probably one day but could be more" of work on a day 3 or 4 weeks in the future could be seriously problematic financially and possibly cost them their job which would then be totally devastating financially? (And BTW, tons of people working in person only became eligible a month or two ago.) And are you seriously saying that whether you wear a tiny piece of fabric over your mouth inside for a few minutes in a store is a quality of life issue? Do you also feel oppressed by being required to wear shoes? It would be slightly more comfortable to walk barefoot, after all... |
Or you could just wear it for the time being until it becomes more clear. That’s what must seem to be doing, I simply don’t care enough about dropping my bask in a store enough to seek out a manager. But more power to you if you have the time and energy to do that. |
It’s super disappointing, especially considering how strong Elrich and Gayles have been up till now, bucking Hogan on many things and staying cautious. Worries about re-election maybe? |
I don't either, but some people on this thread seem to think when you're not required to is one of the worst things in the world is wearing a mask. Me personally, I'd rather err on the side of wearing the mask. |
County Health Officer is not an elective office. |
Do you understand what a 3.0 case rate means? It means that there are approximately 33 COVID positive people circulating among 1.1 million in MoCo each week. Approximately 70% of the people they encounter each day are vaccinated, so basically no transmission. And then there are the people who already had COVID in the wild. I’m sorry, you just can’t convince anyone that this is a high risk move. The people who you are worried about can mask and freeload off MoCo’s herd immunity. |
