Sounds about right. Also weird they're proud of being a "young Millennial." All the crap Gen X and the Boomers hated about the Millennials was mostly that group, not the "Oregon Trail" older Millennials. Very odd.

She’s a pick-me ass Millennial.

“I said ‘Pick me.’ LOVE me.”....are we sure this greys anatomy reference isn’t too dated??

Yes, the grasping at straws to pretend you’re still young...she’s a young Millennial! Not one of those gross old Millennials!

It’s going to hit so hard when she realizes she’s on the precipice of middle age and still spouting this “TikTok lol” shit. F-ing embarrassing.

This thread seems to indicate that Millennials are going to be as angsty as Boomers about aging.

For sure. I’ve noticed a running theme in a few meme accounts on Instagram where millennials think it’s cute to complain about “aging.” Like, “now that I’m 30, my back hurts and I want to go to bed at 9:30.” Real middle age is going to shatter them.

She’s already on the precipice of middle age and is apparently “reasonably on trend.” What a joke! Everyone laughs at losers like this.

Not PP, but don’t you remember feeling like that at 30? Where it was your first real transition into getting older, where you couldn’t stay up as late or drink as much or whatever as when you were 23? I’m sure you complained about it too, at that age.

Taking this really hard? Like for real?

DP. Yes. They’re big mad. “They can’t take my skinny jeans and side part and laugh cry emoji! This is the generation that ate tide pods! We invented all their trends! I’ll rock my skinny jeans to the liquor store, ha!” It’s sooooooo embarrassing, they sound legit like Boomers.

Original pp and yep, I am seeing these exact same memes. I am so embarrassed for my peers. Imagine being in your 30s and feeling the need to taunt 18 year olds about not being able to go to the liquor store. Like calm down and go check on your 401k or something.

I’m the PP. also millennial. I was texting my sister recently and there’s a big split between millennials. Ones who are like 28-35 are okay. They don’t try to act younger but they behave in age appropriate ways and are reasonably on trend. The ones who are 35-40 are the cringe millennials. Stuck in like 2008-2012. They’re still obsessed with stuff like Friends and the Office. They like infinity scarves and knee boots. Think people care to see lots of pictures of their kids. They’re the ones who are having the biggest issue with this because it’s like they actually don’t understand yeah you’re at or approaching middle age. I also think they have this weird complex because Gen Z kids are way more confident than they ever were at that age. They also didn’t really have ugly awkward stages the way other generations did because they’ve grown up with stuff like makeup tutorials and social media showing them trends. Old millennials are weirdly bitter about this.

So basically you’re saying you’re a millennial but you’re cool bc you’re in the good group and all older millennials are desperate losers? Sorry but that sounds just as desperate as the uncool older ones. And what is reasonably ontrend? The fashion forward trends that look great on teens and college students generally don’t look right on any millennial or older person.

Older millennials are lame. They just are. Their humor isnt funny. they think liking Target is a personality, they reference Mean Girls like it’s still 2004, someone did this at the top of the page. All their references are dated. The 1980-1985 millennials are totally different than the 85-93 millennials.

Teenagers think you’re losers too. Stop being so insecure.

Did I mention how the teenagers feel about us at all? No. I’m mocking my own peers. I

NP. So how old are you?

That’s the best part. I never even said. Everyone just assumes 34. Because I noticed there’s a difference between how members of a generational group behave that doesn’t have anything to do with teenagers at all. You actually have no clue how old I am though.

No, I really don’t actually. 30s were still prime time.

But I never said my age. I didn’t say how old I am at all. You all just assume I’m a younger millennial based on... well, nothing really. I could be 42 or 27.

Mocking is a sign of insecurity. You’re not young so grow up and confront the older millennial who hurt you instead of bitching online.

So...yeah. Thanks for clarifying that you’re the anonymous cringey poster we’re talking about. You don’t need to tell us your age. It’s pretty clear now that you’re an old person playing pretend.

+1. She’s not necessarily a Millenial! She’s just a social anthropologist who spent multiple posts explaining why a small subset of the millenials are “lame.” Grow up PP-adults who complain and make generalizations about other adults are just pathetic.

Lol she’s probably a 40 something with a bitchy 37 year old boss who busts her entry level ass every.single.day. She and her younger millenial colleagues bond over their mutual work unhappiness and she thinks they’re pretty cool and copies their style. They make fun of her behind her back.
