:Sigh: This is the kind of pic where I almost hope this thread can just die. I don't like it, I don't think it's flattering, but it looks like she has changed outfits 3 times today for different engagements and she is a 70 year old woman. I won't grade her on the Ivanka scale, I don't think we need to normalize wildly hideous outfits and big silicon bazoongas and stripper heels for Daddy. It's generally inoffensive and ok for a woman of her age and stature.

If I were to nitpick I would say she should do shorter skirts. I stand at 5'5 and right at or right below the knee is the sweet spot. Longer is very tricky.

^ I agree with a shorter length, but she also needs better foundational wear.

PP shorter length here. I will agree with that as well! Also white is just hard. Unless it is symbolic, I would generally avoid.

Her hair in the earlier pics on this thread ( especially in the photo where she is sitting on a stool) looks much better than in the photos taken this week. The loose curls look too floppy and stringy and the more structured, slightly shorter style is more age-appropriate.

Frumpy!

Yeah, I don't love this dress on her, either. It looks like she needs a petite size, and like a size or two smaller. But I don't find it offensive in any way. Just a little off for her.

Not amazing body, not amazing hair, not amazing fashion.

She is 70 and I don’t expect any of that and to start a thread fawning over for fashion choices is just going to be lame.

I think she looks great and is wearing heels of a manageable height. I hate sky high stilettos. They just look so ridiculous.

She needs a stylist ASAP and some spanx.

spanx yourself. It is finally 2021. Leave spanx, stilettos, and stiff-necked, frozen-skull poses to preserve disruption of perfect curls, in the past.

Yes, I never, never, never will say that a woman need spanx. I've worn it once or twice and decided it was a medieval torture device. I can't believe anyone wears it willingly, and would not ever say that one should wear it.

The white dress is not great, but it's not great in the way that most women have days when their outfits are not great. It's not crazy-town weird like 90% of Ivanka's choices, and about 10% of Melania's choices. The other thread began, and continued for 900+ pages, because their choices were just so insane that it was both befuddling and hilarious.

Jill is going to look fine 70% of the time, not great 15% of the time, and great 15% of the time. If she were your mom or your nana, you would be happy that you don't need to worry about her embarrassing you by showing up to something with her t--ts hanging out, or in some bizarre get-up like a pith helmet or a too-small tracksuit. You would think "Mom looks nice. I hope she's not too tired. Maybe I should buy her a scarf for Christmas to go with that dress."

This won't be an interesting thread. Let's all agree to just drop it, unless there is a dress that is so phenomonal or so weird that it just must be discussed.

Right there with you. Jill is being Jill, she's not dressing up to impress her mysogenistic, disgusting, cheating, lying husband who has the hots for his own daughter. She's a nice, normal lady who is going to, for the most part, wear nice normal clothes.

x1000 And that is why I love her. It is wonderful to have a "real" person who is the first lady, someone who is warm and personable and has feeling. Whatever she wears is great with me.
