spanx yourself. It is finally 2021. Leave spanx, stilettos, and stiff-necked, frozen-skull poses to preserve disruption of perfect curls, in the past.

Yes, I never, never, never will say that a woman need spanx. I've worn it once or twice and decided it was a medieval torture device. I can't believe anyone wears it willingly, and would not ever say that one should wear it.

The white dress is not great, but it's not great in the way that most women have days when their outfits are not great. It's not crazy-town weird like 90% of Ivanka's choices, and about 10% of Melania's choices. The other thread began, and continued for 900+ pages, because their choices were just so insane that it was both befuddling and hilarious.

Jill is going to look fine 70% of the time, not great 15% of the time, and great 15% of the time. If she were your mom or your nana, you would be happy that you don't need to worry about her embarrassing you by showing up to something with her t--ts hanging out, or in some bizarre get-up like a pith helmet or a too-small tracksuit. You would think "Mom looks nice. I hope she's not too tired. Maybe I should buy her a scarf for Christmas to go with that dress."

This won't be an interesting thread. Let's all agree to just drop it, unless there is a dress that is so phenomonal or so weird that it just must be discussed.

Right there with you. Jill is being Jill, she's not dressing up to impress her mysogenistic, disgusting, cheating, lying husband who has the hots for his own daughter. She's a nice, normal lady who is going to, for the most part, wear nice normal clothes.

x1000 And that is why I love her. It is wonderful to have a "real" person who is the first lady, someone who is warm and personable and has feeling. Whatever she wears is great with me.

+1
She looks nice in the white dress. So it’s not perfectly smooth and her boobs aren’t raised up to her armpits. She looks attractive, appropriate, nice, and hopefully she’s comfortable. She doesn’t need to squeeze into spanx and pantyhose with tummy panels to walk around and deliver cookies.

I think this kind of thread would wind up alerting women to new designers or ways to style themselves. Maybe not, but Jill seems aspirational to me in terms of how she puts herself together. She seems as fashionable to me as early Michelle Obama.

The still photos of the white dress are actually much worse than how it looked on video. It looked very nice, and not as lumpy, I guess with the natural movement of her body.

Honestly the inauguration style of the Biden family made me cringe. That’s ok though because they’re not there to be fashionable.

No one’s interested in the First Lady’s outfits?

She wore Vote boots.

The fishnets are just awful.

Clutching my pearls at the VOTE boots and the unfortunate fishnet and booties ensemble. My Nan would say that in both photos, “she’s all tarted up and dressed like a floozy/harlot/hussy.”

Yes, that’s right. A 70 year old woman wore fishnet stockings in public.

She can't quite get it right. The button on the blazer she wore for tea with the Queen hit her at the worst possible spot. Maybe Catherine can give her some tips.

I think Jill has gained a little weight. All her clothes look a touch too tight.

I think she looks lovely here. The color is great for her hair and skin tone. I know Queen Elizabeth is really old but her outfit is very baggy and saggy; whomever dressed her did a bad job of it. Jill on the other hand looks great. She also looks really nice in the second pic wearing an ivory trench coat!

I like the patterned stockings (I wouldn't call them pure fishnets) but just not with the little witchy booties. But I'm a bootie hater with dresses and skirts in general. I think it makes you look like Robin Hood.
